I am going to make a completely uninformed guess and say they sent it out to applicants that applied by a certain date to make their holiday card mailing lists? Or maybe the ones who put they were Christian on their apps?

Like I said, just guessing here…

Most likely a combo of these, although it said "Holidays" / just a snowy pic of their campus on front.

I went complete 11/8 and still haven't received the post card or the holiday card! I don't think they like me

I was waitlisted like a month ago, but my brother called me and told me I just got a letter from ND. Before I could get excited he told me it might just be a christmas card. Awesome.

Yea.... probably is lol

square type envelope with a regular stamp, has Notre Dame Admissions on the back

I could kind of see picture of campus / feel it was made of thicker material before I opened it... had me freaking out that it was acceptance because figured rejection would be single papge

Did you identify as Catholic and / or Christian on the app... I'm starting to think that might be who they sent them out to

oh man, I just got the Christmas card and started freaking out even though I KNEW people had been getting them today. It's a lovely gesture but DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT!

Anyway, I put that I'm Catholic on my app, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I got a few Thanksgiving cards from schools I didn't apply to. Probably just has to do with LSAT/GPA scores and if you put down to receive info from schools in the Midwest. Similar to auto fee waivers.

But again, that is my completely uneducated guess...

HAHAHA the best day of my life was the day the Pens drafted him. I forwarded my fiance the Pens Alert text I got earlier about Sid not playing the next 2 days and he said it's the best news of his life. hahaha

And also, I identified as Christian and didn't get one, so I don't think it has anything to do with affiliation. I got a fee waiver though and a bunch of stuff in the mail from them last month, so I don't know why they hate me now!

Lol I got that txt as well sadly. Yea I was in high school, I remember staring at the TV freaking out when it became close with my brother / a friend. Right when it happened I was so pumped / txted a bunch of ppl and just received "who's that?" replies lol.

Shit, have to stay on topic...

Isn't part of the USNWR ranking based upon spending at schools?

Regardless, when I saw the card today I thought it was a rejection, and I definitely feel for those who are receiving the card post rejection.

Hey guys! So I was admitted by email a few days ago, and just got my admit packet in the mail. It's dated 11/30, and has one of those nice $20,000/year renewable scholarships in it!

lol got that card yesterday even though I withdrew my application a week ago. Read it, saw "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas", and chuckled as I thought, "How unCatholic of them." Seriously.
