Honestly, I'd get cracking on those right now. You don't know how ED will turn out, but you do know that submitting as early as possible can only help you.bryannance wrote:I'm just going to ask how far through the acceptance phase they are. Knowing that they've notified 90% of their acceptances via email would be very helpful, because I could have this one professor finish up a LOR, and I could begin my NYU PS. My hunch is that they won't tell me, or the person I get in touch with doesn't have access to that information, but it's worth a try.

It'll be easy to do the NYU PS, but it's the LOR from the prof that I want to get cracking on. He's really slow, but I'd feel bad asking him to do it while he's grading finals if he ultimately doesn't have to.wiseguy33 wrote:Honestly, I'd get cracking on those right now. Edit: I don't mean I'm happy that you got deferred! Keep your chin up though..those are strong numbers and you will def. be getting into some good schools!

4:44, they ask you to update your transcripts after fall to show you are still interested and would like to be considered in April.

still nothing for me...
Do they also send out Waitlists for ED or just do they just defer people to RD?

I don't think WL is an option -- it's either rejct or deferral, right?

After wanting a Columbia email in my inbox for hte past few weeks, I am kind of hoping not to see one right now, LoL. Not that I'd be devastated over a rejection either.

Have they ever sent anything out after 5 PM or is this is it? Done for the day? LoL...I kind of hate to be stuck waiting like this.

Not sure. My guess is that a few more might come out in the next few weeks? They aren't completely automatic. My email was 4:53. Earlier email said 4:44.TLSNYC wrote:Have they ever sent anything out after 5 PM or is this is it? Done for the day? LoL...I kind of hate to be stuck waiting like this.
EDIT: meant to say next few MINUTES. Glad I seem to be wrong though!

Hmm...yeah, that's true. I'm sure they'll probably continue with emails sometime early tomorrow morning. Sorry to hear you didn't get in! At least you know now rather later, so you can get to work on that NYU app!bryannance wrote:Not sure. My guess is that a few more might come out in the next few weeks? I just realized I won't have email access ALL DAY TOMORROW.

Will have to leech off friends with iPhones.
Edit: Sorry for the giant picture. Fixed.

Deferred via email too. ~3.7 / 172. Not surprised, and actually a little reliefed, but disappointed nonetheless.

Re: Columbia ED Waiting Thread
Sorry to hear that, bro. Those are really strong stats for ED. You're at/above median in both categories for RD. I'm sure you will get in some great law schools before it's all said and done, if not CLS via RD.JoeShmoe11 wrote:Just got deferred via email. Wow! I'm shocked... 3.81/172 wtf??? After this unfortunate wave, who's left waiting for decisions? Me, Annie, Ludwig, Wiseguy? Anyone else?

Me too... if they've done acceptances an deferrals, the only thing left is straight rejections... this isn't good.
