Yes, basically this. A long delay generally means you aren't among the top applicants, but you could very well be in the "wait and see" applicant pool (which makes sense for a school doing rolling admissions). At least that is how it went last year.In general if you don't get one within a few weeks of going UR, then if you *do* get in, the path is likely to be unpredictable (like, if you submitted in Oct, you might suddenly get one in the middle of Feb in a trend that makes no sense), or a WL-->Admit, otherwise the odds become fairly low. So, by that point, best to just like....stop following the trends and watching the threads for signs of JR1 movement and just focus on other things in life.

We may see it, it certainly seems like there was a wave of completes late last week.

Went complete yesterday apparently (didn't check until today). Numbers aren't great but I'm hoping the rest of my application helps prop me up.

Hopefully, that'd be cool. If not I think we will get some on Thurs/Fri as usual.oxford_don wrote:Wonder if we will be seeing some JR1s early next week to make up for the fact that none seem to have gone out last week...

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
Went under review today without ever having seen a complete status. Just went from application received/submitted to under review 11/1 (didn't receive an e-mail either). Kind of freaks me out a little. JR, please contact me, ahh!

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
I realize that you were referring to your GPA, but hearing someone with a 180 say "numbers aren't great" just sounds funny. Congratulations, by the way!incompetentia wrote:Went complete yesterday apparently (didn't check until today). Numbers aren't great but I'm hoping the rest of my application helps prop me up.

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
If we get JR1's at the end of this week, can we reasonably expect a Thanksgiving-time JR2 (assuming all goes well)?

Haha, thanks Wolverine! I've been UR since 10/22, so I think this means i'm more of a borderline applicant. Preparing for the long haul. Good luck everyone!Wolverine Den wrote:Thanks Knock, I went under review on 10.27. I am positive yours is coming soon as well. Good luck.
