URM or in-state?

I'm not a URM and I'm from california. It went under review on 1/19.
Damn. Lots of people with better numbers have gotten denied or waitlisted. So a big congrats is in order.

Guys ... did you get an invite to the Facebook Admitted Students site ... the email says:

"No official Admissions Office information will be posted on this page, nor will the Admissions Office monitor it in any way, so feel free to ask honest questions and give honest answers."

So how safe is it to join that??

I may be visiting campus on St. Patty's Day while I'm up in Chicago for Spring Break. Can anyone that goes to UW or is from Madison attest to the awesomeness or lack thereof of St. Patty's celebrations in Madison?

State Street is one of the biggest party areas in the US, St. pattys day is no exception to this.

Tuesdays are bigger party days than most college town's St. Patty's days on State...

Did nobody hear back from UW today? I thought for sure I'd have heard something this week (although I've been sure for weeks now).

There was some movement earlier this week, but this forum has been pretty quiet all along. I don't know if it's because there haven't been many decisions or because UW applicants just aren't interested in posting...

My status check has been In Review for a while but the date keeps changing. Is this anything significant?

Thanks Guys.

How many times has it changed? Mine has been the same since I went "In Review" in December.

The date has changed 3 times all in close succession. Seems like every time I check it the status date is later. I get this image of some guy just picking it up and placing it in the next pile or something.

I emailed them and asked last week. There are two. The first one will take place March 25-27 and the second one will take place April 8-10.

On another note, anyone know when/how long it takes scholly info to come?

Have you gotten the email yet to file out the form etc.? I'm going to put in shortly as soon as I get my taxes done - which should happen tonight I suppose. I'm excited about ASW :-) Hope to see you then. I'm from Paris, France, and undergrad and master's from LSU -- glad to venture up north.

I filled it out almost immediately when I got it back in December prior to being admitted. Maybe I should email to check up. I'm actually going to visit campus on St. Patty's day while I'm up in Chicago during spring break. I've been to Madison before. It's a pretty cool town all around.

I got a snail mail letter yesterday that said I would hear back about financial aid 2-4 weeks from the time they received the FAFSA information. I'm not sure how long it will take for UW to receive the information or if this includes scholarship/grant offers but hopefully this helps.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
