Is anyone planning on bringing someone along with them to ASD?

You can only bring spouses or parents - so I asked if I could bring my same-sex partner and they said yes !!!cartercl wrote:Is anyone planning on bringing someone along with them to ASD?

Anyone who's coming to ASD may be interested in checking out a baseball game at Alex Box. LSU is hosting Cal State Fullerton that weekend for a three game set. It'll be one of the best weekend series of the year between to powerhouses, and the new stadium is great.

Scholarship letter arrived in the mail today, dated 2/28. It says I am an LSU Law Center Faculty Scholarship recipient! Full tuition ($14,496/yr.) as long as I remain in good standing!

Thanks for sharing--that makes it a bit more interesting for me, too!A12345 wrote:RSVP'd for the ASD this coming weekend. I also emailed Jake Henry, the Director of Admissions and the person my letter said to contact if I had any questions about my scholarship, and asked him if I were to fall out of the top 33% (I'm OOS and received the OOS fee waiver of 14,000 a year) would the scholarship be lessened proportionally or lost altogether and he said it would be proportionally lessened. That makes things a little more interesting for me but I will have to find out more information and how exactly it would be lessened if that were to happen.
What is everyone else wearing to the cocktail reception Friday?

Accepted 02/08
Withdrew today. Best of luck to all of you! Hope this helps someone on the waitlist--I know it can be a difficult place to be.

I just checked my e-mail and saw the itenerary for Saturday. It didn't mention what to wear for that, but I'd go with the casual end of the business casual spectrum--i.e. nice shorts/polo shirt/Sperrys.
As long as you don't wear gym clothes/pajamas/a gorilla costume, you should be fine.
And the official cocktail dress code is "dressy casual".

Got some more emails from them. The NOLA reception is on 03/17/11. I wonder if they will be serving green beer...

I didn't receive the itenerary email although I received the email regarding the reception with directions. Would you mind posting the email/itenerary or forward it to me? I can pm you my email. No prob (though the itenerary isn't too detailed-just what time everything begins, etc.).

Re: LSU 2011
My scholarship was mailed 2/25, but I still have not received it.... Should I be worried!!?? I just want to know the amount before the ASW. Could they have mailed it to the wrong address?? I live in Orange Beach, AL, so it shouldn't take so long I would think.
I am also debating between a dress and a pencil skirt/cute top for the reception????

If I go to the reception I'm going to wear a sports coat, slacks, and a button down shirt. That should be appropriate right?
