I am impressed with the correspondence I have received from Duke - they certainly seem to care about making their case and looking like the right school for me.

Anyone else get this letter?
Hmmm, was that a letter that came separately after you received your official "welcome packet"? I just got my welcome packet last week and it didn't have a letter from Dean Levi with the article, but in my acceptance letter I had a short handwritten note at the end from the admissions dean congratulating me and mentioning a couple of things from my application. Did you get that as well?

Yeah I got the initial packet with a handwritten letter from the admissions dean then a couple of weeks later the letter from Dean Levi.

For those that are filling in scholarship info- it says you must fill out info for your parents regardless of age or marital status. Anyone know if independent student status applies here?

Furthermore- can filling out the financial information for need-based scholarships ever hurt your chances at getting a merit-based scholarship?

Do we have a Duke non priority track in this forum? I didn't see one.... I guess I can say that I'm cool like you all, but I didn't get PT invite and applied ED 10/31.

Verbatim from my PT Registration email:
When your application becomes complete it will receive an immediate, comprehensive review and we will mail a response within ten days.

Did you check your status? You should see if it says decision rendered, watch out for email.

Got a nice letter from Dean Levi today, about why I should choose Duke Law over other Law schools. I'm sure they send it to everybody they admit, but still, it was definitely a nice touch.

Broke out my little Duke notepad and used it to take notes in my genetics lab today. Left my real lab notebook at home so I figured why not put it to use.
