Anyone else have speeding ticket(s)? I have one over 200. Are they seriously going to ask for Original Court Documents about a speeding ticket?

I went to the clerk of court and got a printout of my driving record, scanned it, and attached it to my applications.PearlGood wrote:Anyone else have speeding ticket(s)? I have one over 200. Are they seriously going to ask for Original Court Documents about a speeding ticket?

You can go on the Clerk of Courts website of the county you got ticket in and search you name. It will give you everything about ticket from type of ticket to final disposition.

Are you in review, or under review by committee? My changed from the former to the latter today.Barbie wrote:yes mamns77770 wrote:Anybody else have their status checker change?under review! even though I am not sure if that actually means we are under review... I thought they didn't start reading applications until November?
Edit: And yeah now this is going to get my hopes up to hear soon...

ns:
"under review by committee".. I don't know if I was "under review" prior to this because I haven't checked the status checker until now (prompted by you, so thanks!). I figured it wouldn't be changing until mid-November.
I just did some last-year-thread-stalking and people weren't "under review" until November. It seems that decisions were made about 2 weeks after. People who got in got a "decision letter in transit" and people who were either waitlisted or rejected got "decision pending" or "decision being held" or something besides the first quote. These decisions weren't out until the end of November last year, but since we are under review so quickly maybe UF is starting to speed things up? Also, according to last years thread, they were quicker than the year before them. Someone want to be really daring and...

I love how you are all excited. My status checker hasn't changed, but I applied later than you and ns, I would need to wait some more. Good luck to those who are under review.Barbie wrote:PMing ns, anyone else PM me if you want to know about the LOVERLY conversation I just had.

After reading all of your posts I decided to check my status. It would seem I'm under review, too. Good luck everyone!

im going to go into my DMV and get a driving history report. Anyone know if that would satisfy UF's document's request or would it have to be from the courthouse of the local municipality?

UF states they only want traffic ticket records if the fine was over $200....

Yea. I got a $560 ticket for going less than 50 mph in some little "historic" town in GA that set every road's speed limit to 25mph. Their fine schedule was double that of the county they resided in. I wanted to challenge that in court because im sure they just arbitrarily decided to change the speed limits one day instead of relying on a traffic engineering surveys required by law...Ildeuce wrote:UF states they only want traffic ticket records if the fine was over $200....

Ouch... tough break haha... good news about that is I'm pretty sure that's not the general "over $200" type ticket that would be a bad thing. They'll probably read that ticket and say wtf??Sandro777 wrote:Yea. I got a $560 ticket for going less than 50 mph in some little "historic" town in GA that set every road's speed limit to 25mph. I mean yea, i was "speeding", but I just hate how the ticket sounds. 24 over. I'd much rather be going NINETY FOUR miles per hour on the highway and get this ticket than 49. Plus I was going down a hill. Its a speed trap. I want to write a snarky addendum so bad.Ildeuce wrote:Ouch... tough break haha... good news about that is I'm pretty sure that's not the general "over $200" type ticket that would be a bad thing.
