Person who got in prob has some sort of connection to ND. The few people who posted earlier that got decisions never got email; just snail mail as far as I can tell. That included accepts and rejects.

Nope. I've been there twice (not to look at the law school, just to visit) but that's about it. I don't have any family or connections there at all other than a friend who is in UG.

I'm complete as of 11-11. Nothing yet here either. I was just studying the LSN site... it seems that ND should be sending out letters to us any day now. The gaps between when the already accepted/rejected/waitlisted were complete and the 11-10/11 crowd might be explained by the lack of LSNers posting updates. All of the LSN people who were complete earlier than 11-10 and have no admission status have also been inactive for at least a month or two. So, granted that the TLS and LSN crowd is but a small fraction of the law applicant population, it seems that ND is following a chronological pattern, and I expect we should hear by mid next week.

I did, but I didn't realize how important it was until last week. I sent it in as soon as I found out, but I called the office and they said it probably wasn't read before they made the decision. And now there's no way it will be read before April. Sucks cause I sincerely wanted to go there, but I guess it's my fault for sending the Why ND essay so late. I hope this will be a lesson to people!

I am now curious to see if I am accepted or not, just as a test of this why notre dame theory. I did not write one, I want them to like me for me, and if they don't, well, good they weren't my first choice.

Is it just me or have every admit on LSN (except for me) gotten into a few schools ranked much higher than ND? Will any of them go to ND? Seems like the school is batting for the fence this year with binding ED, getting back to everyone late and offering spots to people already into much higher-ranked schools. Seems to me it could backfire and make them go further into the waitlist than they'd like.

I think this was discussed earlier in the thread. What you're saying would make sense if notre dame was a run if the mill public school. I think they will still get a lot of applicants that just want to go to notre dame like myself.
