Did anyone else receive a "Vanderbilt Law School Wait List Update Acknowelgement" e-mail? One of the included sentences was "If offered admissions you will be contacted by email and/or phone," and I hope they aren't giving me false hope lol...

I also got the wait list update email- it sounded optimistic!! but then again, it didn't really say anything we all already didn't know. Also, congrats Robin!!!!!

With more wait-listed applicants remaining under consideration than usual, we think it wise to narrow the pool to be considerd (yep with typo) should space become available in our entering class. We have had to make many difficult decisions this year with 4,884 applicants competing for 195 places and in our entering class and with a larger wait list. We appreciate your patience with our process.

I did not receive an email with that quote. My subject line did not have acknowelgement in it either. Hopefully its the good news we think it is and if so congrats!

How is everyone submitting their LOCIs? Should I send it directly to an adcomm or simply reply to the waitlist email?

I send it through regular email. admissions@vanderbilt or something like that.

I'd address it to G. Todd and send it to the generic admissions e-mail. For what that's worth.

They said my gmail must have caught it as spam (my spam folder was empty). Regardless, I asked that they resend it so I think your best bet is to call them and ask, if not to just reiterate your interest

Had y'all previously received notification of the return of your WL form?

I got an e-mail w/subject:"Vanderbilt University Law School Wait List Response Acknowelgement" about 2 months ago when they got my response to the WL offer.

If you got another "Acknowelgement," then I assume that could be good news (misspelling notwithstanding).

ozarkhack, this was the second acknowledgement e-mail I've received. I confirmed my wait list candidacy back in January.

Perhaps those of us who responded to the wait list e-mail received it?

These were the contents:

I sent in a LOCI and I got the 'thanks for responding to the wait list email'. I never actually received the wait list email so this is ok news for me.

I got an e-mail response with the call/email line. I don't think it really means anything considering the number of people who received it.
