This morning, I received a nice letter from Penn letting me know something like "Your many accomplishments and experiences are sure to lead you to success in life - but not here." Thanks for the reminder, Penn.
+1
I was going to post something to the effect of it being super nice of them to reject me in hard copy as well.

Does anyone have a sense of how often Penn releases decisions? After last week's wave, should I expect nothing this week? I wish they were like Northwestern with its predictable Friday decisions.

Anyone (or know of anyone) who's gotten off the Penn waitlist so far this cycle, or are is Penn actually dead set on the whole "we won't start looking at the waitlist till mid-May" thing?
For example, have obviously YP'ed applicants gotten in soon after sending a LOCI? (This doesn't really apply to me, but am curious about whether there's a difference in timing between waitlist for borderline applicants vs. waitlist for YP.)

Are scholarship invites just sent out via email? I was accepted to Penn three weeks ago and I haven't received anything. I need to choose between Penn and Columbia and financial aid money is going to be a huge factor.

Ok so I was UCR once on 1/19(?about that) and then 2/3 and nothing since. Does this mean I've been put aside until they send the next batch of rejects? Le sigh.

I'm Under Committee Review 2/18...Seems like, from past posters, it could take almost another month to get a decision?

I was just wondering how the number of updates reflected in the equation...I went UCR twice and then haven't heard anything for over three weeks...I'm guessing it's game over.

I called Penn this morning and a woman answered the phone!!! So, maybe, (perhaps!) more decisions might be released today?

For those who have been under review since early Feb, I wouldn't worry too much. I'm in the same boat, with a 174/3.75, plus I'm an alumnus, so I expect to get strong consideration in the end. Based on a combination of LSN stats from last year and what I've heard from being on campus for 4 years, later applicants (Dec-Jan) don't usually hear until mid-late March, with a few exceptions (usually URMs and auto rejects/waitlists). They take their time - don't read too much into it!

Yes. For those held ED:
1] They will try to render a decision by April 1. You may hear much sooner, though.
2] Your status checker may or may not change/update before a decision is rendered. They do not always update when a file is reviewed.

The "storm" in Philly was so silly. I'm looking out the window and there is no snow on the road in center city at all. All the universities are open.
