I'll seriously need some kind of dramatic measure before the anxiety drives me over the edge in that case. Who wants to move to Croatia for a few months?Orion311 wrote:
On the bright side, it's possible that we'll be waitlisted and have to wait until mid-August for a final decision, so we'll be in this state for the next 7 months. Wait. Shit.

Thanks ThePinkRanger. Writing this haiku distracted, thereby relieved me, from stressing for a couple of minutes.
Part I
so many regrets
if only I had studied,
more and partied less.
Part II
I must look ahead
If no JS when I wake
study more; retake.

OMG, I just started watching this show and this just really did it for me. And the fact that she had no actual safety schools. Like, how did Paris not get Harvard, but Rory did, along with every other elite school at the exact same time?!curlietop86 wrote:THIS.leslieknope wrote:I bet Elle Woods never went through this. also about rory gilmore's simultaneous acceptance letters to harvard, yale, and princeton. granted, undergrad, but still.
Okay, sorry for derailing. Great work on the haikus, especially DetroitRed.

At this point I would take an acceptance to Princeton Law and run, tbh. No but really, I remember watching that show when I was applying to undergrad and drowning in my bitterness. Your grandparents want you to go to Yale but you really want Harvard, HOW TERRIBLE FOR YOU.curlietop86 wrote:THIS.leslieknope wrote:I bet Elle Woods never went through this. From now on we will reserve the use of "OMG" "Oh My Goodness", "Good Heavens/Lord" to JS1/2 reporting.jemthey17 wrote:OMG, I just started watching this show and this just really did it for me. Ugh...waiting to hear from Harvard. Waiting for J1 (or whatever?)? How do I know where I am with Harvard? There process is pretty eccentric hahaha.

You can check the status checker, but it'll just say complete until you get dinged or an interview request. If you don't have the status checker, and it's been longer than a couple weeks, you may want to email them.Oskosh wrote:Ugh...waiting to hear from Harvard. Waiting for J1 (or whatever?)? not tryna be rude, but it's pretty much the opposite of eccentric.Oskosh wrote:Ugh...waiting to hear from Harvard. Waiting for J1 (or whatever?)? How do I know where I am with Harvard? There process is pretty eccentric hahaha.
by comparison, H is super streamlined and predictable (think quicker turnaround and numbers-driven.)
granted, this cycle has been a bit...stranger than usual. however, as people keep noting, it's still early and they've got lots of interviews and acceptances to give.
didn't you literally just submit your apps?

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Eccentric because of the J1 and J2, whereas all of them follow a more conventional model. And I don't know how long it takes for them to get through their model.ballcaps wrote:not tryna be rude, but it's pretty much the opposite of eccentric.Oskosh wrote:Ugh...waiting to hear from Harvard. I've gotten the status checker.
