Re: USC c/o 2016 Applicants
the waitlist email said we can send a LOCI "in lieu" of the livelink video interview. although i submitted a video interview, i was thinking about waiting a few weeks and sending a LOCI if i still haven't heard from them. is this inadvisable?

Re: USC c/o 2016 Applicants
congrats! i wonder if there are any other 167s still on the waitlist. and i'm hoping the ones they offered already told them they're not going, which would explain why you just got your offer now (I could see them sending invites to half the 167s, then the other half later)tocheer67 wrote:In!!!!!

I'm going to call the office and mention that I'm waitlisted at Cornell, mention my LSAT, and just totally sell myself.UncleStew wrote: I considered negotiating ... How are you planning on negotiating ?
Worst that could happen is I still get 60k.

I emailed admissions to negotiate. They gave me a little more but not enough. Will be withdrawing this week.

Re: USC c/o 2016 Applicants
They know you have a great LSAT and they want you because they offered you a spot and 60k. They think u are great. In terms of scholarship, if I was you I would do what I could to make them think I was going to BU where u applied. Send USC the offer you got from BU. maybe even pretend u would be willing to sit out a cycle to get the money you want. I know you are thrilled about USC, so this is tough to do, but if you want to squeeze money out of the school the wait list at Cornell wont give you leverage cause u aren't in yet. Try to play hard to get! But feel free to disregard my advice. My application has not yet been deemed worthy of being read.tocheer67 wrote:I'm going to call the office and mention that I'm waitlisted at Cornell, mention my LSAT, and just totally sell myself.UncleStew wrote: I considered negotiating ... well there is not much leverage you can have at this point because they probably know by now they can defend their 167 LSAT median ,so from now on they are just taking a few people who will go at sticker or almost at sticker to beef up their revenue..

Until the 167's jump ship by getting off wait lists at the second deposit deadline. Then the musical chairs will start again.zman wrote:well there is not much leverage you can have at this point because they probably know by now they can defend their 167 LSAT median ,so from now on they are just taking a few people who will go at sticker or almost at sticker to beef up their revenue..
