Looking at LSN, it looks like last year the big spike of admits in early to mid april were URMs or non-traditional apps (with colossal stats). After that WLs and Rejects galore.

What is a non-traditional student? I always thought that just meant someone was much older than average?

A non-traditional student is someone who declares themselves non-traditional. HTH.

Just found this site while neurotically looking for answers to the silence that is Stanford. Guess im not the only one going crazy. But does anyone know if there is a particular time they update the status checker? I feel like an addict needing to get my fix checking it every 20 minutes or so.

I've gotten the feeling that movement lately has happened in the morning. But you'd have to look through the thread to confirm.

My fall semester grades got updated on LSAC which probably explains the SLS change. Anyway, I'm mentally checking out now. Unless I get into SLS, I'm retaking the LSAT and doing this all over again next year. Yay!

really? hmm - your michigan offer is pretty stellar, if Cal matched it that would be a great option, I would take it over reapplying

Ummm, idk. I'm still sorting out need-based aid from Cal, and I sent a match scholarship for 1/3 tuition from GTown PILS. I'd probably only consider it if I get both. Otherwise, HYS have better finaid. There's also a fair amount of outside scholarships that I'm looking at. The most important thing for me is that I go to a school that sets me up for govt, and only 8% of Cal's class do clerkships. Also, career services said getting a DOJ as a 1L is very difficult whereas it's the standard for HYS.

I will as soon as I get my DLS from SLS. Essentially, my LSAT is keeping me out of the T-7. Only reason I'm being considered now is due to my softs.

If your email goes lowercase it means you'll get a call the next day admitting you. Or at least that's what I've heard.

FYI, a non-traditional student is an individual who is not a K-BA/BS. Essentially someone who is graduating college at a non-traditional age. An applicant who is older but a K-BA/BS just means they've had WE but they're not considered non-traditional students.

There are 127 members on the (unofficial) FB group. I would imagine that represents a number higher than the TLS/LSN calculus because I am sure there are many people who just lurk TLS but joined the FB group.

Stanford just taking their damn time or what? I applied to 15 schools, and all along ive been most anxious to hear from them. all 14 others have gotten back to me WEEKS ago.

When can we suspect a stanford call? any ideas? Im 169, 3.8 so im not exactly sure its going to be good news... but any news is better than none.
