Waitlisted... 4.06/172. I will withdraw my app. Apart from NU, this hasn't been the cycle I thought it would be. Either my application sucked or my lack of softs (due to time-limited parenting obligations) has really hurt. Oh well. I'm thrilled with NU's offer and am far from disappointed.
Congrats to everyone that got in, though!!!

Re: Chicago c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
But apparently not uniformly "good." I just got waitlisted. On the bright side, I guess I can still say that I've yet to be flat-out dinged at any of the 18 schools to which I applied as of yet. And at least most of us WL's hadn't already been interviewed.Azariel wrote:Yay!! Looks like all the URs were a good sign; I'm in too! Congrats everyone!!

Waitlisted here as well. At this point, I'm thrilled to still be in it.

in a sense, if you get the perfect offer from one school, the others are irrelevant right? I'd be happy in your shoes.MAHamlin wrote:Waitlisted... 4.06/172. WL.
They say they'll give a final decision in late summer... Do we know what late summer would be? end of July, August? And do you guys think it could be earlier than that?
Edit: Congrats to those who got in

Does anyone know what the chances from the WL are? Is it a soft reject or are they actually considering us?

Re: Chicago c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Don't get me wrong, I really am thrilled with NU and can't wait to move to Chicago! I think it's hurt pride more than disappointment at not getting to go to UChi that stings. It's good to get rejected every now and then, though. It helps fight against special snowflake syndrome.jbagelboy wrote:in a sense, if you get the perfect offer from one school, the others are irrelevant right? WL?
Very confused as I was sure I'd be straight dinged, but I will send them a very thoughtful letter and hope for the best. Had all my updates in the past week, no interview.

WL. Wish I could trade those Columbia/NYU acceptances for one here, but... I'm pretty excited about Michigan as the alternative. Go Blue!

I was under the impression that this part of the email meant that it might be that long, not that it definitely will be.Lucky2013 wrote:WL.

WL, interviewed on Wed... I'm happy to avoid a ding, but I was really digging UChic. Guess I'll write that essay and hope for the best!

Re: Chicago c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Waitlisted. Damn, maybe I shouldn't have interviewed, haha.
Ok, serious question. Is there any hope of decent $$ off the waitlist, if it is accompanied by an improved June LSAT? Right now, I'm sitting on a 150k scholly from Northwestern, but I'd signed up for the June LSAT to retake before being given that. I'd go to Chicago if they could give me scholarship money in the same ballpark as Northwestern, but I'm not going to take out an extra 100k for it. I've tried skimming the thread, but I've only seen 60k scholarships. Has there been anything higher than that outside of Rubies? I'm trying to decide if it's worth it for me to write this letter and prepare to take the June LSAT, or if I should just stick with my still-very-nice NW scholarship, and maybe get started on patent bar prep. For reference, 3.78/172, but I didn't prep much, so I think with some good preparation and a good day I could get upper 170's.
Thanks everyone.
