That is my thought. The numbers we have so far are all splitter numbers.emcoast32 wrote:i'm a splitter, too - 174/3.5 i'm thinking this is ding/wl, though i hope otherwise for the sake of everyone else with today's date.

I'm 3.7/168. Based upon my results from other t-14s, it could easily be ding/WL, however a 174 is pretty impressive. Maybe it'll be mixed results?

So far LSN shows 121 acceptances for this year, and last year's chart has 149 acceptances total... So perhaps we can conclude in a sloppy and general sort of way that 81% of this year's acceptances have been issued thus far? EEK!

I think it's safe to say mixed results. Last few have been early afternoon acceptance calls followed by later WL/Ding emails.tadlbb wrote:I'm 3.7/168. Based upon my results from other t-14s, it could easily be ding/WL, however a 174 is pretty impressive. Maybe it'll be mixed results?

I hate to be a downer, but based on the dearth of WLs and dings for Oct/early Nov submits on LSN, I predict there will be a wave of both tomorrow.

Another school to get a W/L from... What, was my application laced with the bubonic plague or something? I'm absolutely not enjoying this applying-to-law-school-thing, ha ha!emkay625 wrote:I agree. Yeah, I'm 3.4 170 though who knows. Maybe we'll see some combination of things or it might be a mass WL/ding thing. I'm prepared. (obvious lie is obvious)

I feel you.. I was held at Cornell and Georgetown and Waitlisted at UVA... it's much better than getting rejected! I'm convinced if you fight tooth and nail you'll get off of a waitlist - I sent in 2 extra essays and continually emailed UVA and they let me inPopTorts13 wrote:Another school to get a W/L from... Arg, I'm going to ask a dumb question....are the under First/Second reviews different from under committee review? I've been UCR since 1/27, and haven't been getting worried/nervous b/c I haven't seen first/second review statuses...any ideas? Thanks in advance (HATE fridays....)

No, they're the same thing. For the vast majority of people who have received decisions so far, the date on their status checker has updated at least twice after going complete: first when their status changes from "in the queue" to "under committee review," (which we call "first UR"), and second when their date changes again while under committee review ("second UR"). We suspect the date changes correspond to when the two requisite reviewers of your app have looked at it.ricsllscir wrote:Arg, I'm going to ask a dumb question....are the under First/Second reviews different from under committee review? The mass of UR2s yesterday may have been them clearing out a bunch of applications as the cycle is near over (I think their application deadline is soon) and they want to get as complete a class makeup as they can by then.crumpledq wrote:No, they're the same thing.
