Seriously. In three years we're all about to be six figures in debt with no real job prospects. Desperately hoping that we get to go to law school and suffer madly in the sorriest pit of hell ought to be a pleasure in comparison.

In review finally--got an email from Cornell saying I should hear by early April! Admissions had a question on my file and was super nice--hoping for good news.

Had been processing since 12/23...

What does it meant to be placed on reserve? I am guessing this is a WL and there is little to no hope of getting off it.

Because of my stupid dean's certification... the Dean of Students office has been SO SLOW at processing these. Their website says to allow 10 days for processing but it has been taking MONTHS for my schools to receive them.

The NU Admissions blog did a good job of explaining what "hold" means, which is essentially the same thing as Cornell's stupid "reserve."

What? Cornell requires a Dean Cert? That's only if you had some problems with school right?

* Regular Decision: February 1 (All application materials due, for a decision by early April)

I don't understand how it's possible that they'll get their current backlog done by early April. Submitted 1/7, anticipating "complete" by early April...
