Well if last years pattern holds, and seeing we left the anomalous single hold to JR1 behind about on time it does seem to be the case, the next movement for the held could be in March, as late as 8th of it.ahduth wrote:So... no motion today huh?

Ah well the longer I go without any news is the longer I can tell my friends I still have a chance at Harvard. I might as well enjoy it while it lasts!Nulli Secundus wrote:Well if last years pattern holds, and seeing we left the anomalous single hold to JR1 behind about on time it does seem to be the case, the next movement for the held could be in March, as late as 8th of it.ahduth wrote:So... no motion today huh?

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
JR stands for Josh Rubenstein (the dean of admissions at Harvard Law). Basically, in order to be admitted, you need to be interviewed over the phone with JR. The phone interview is called the JR1 because if you get in, JR calls you to let you know you've been admitted (which is called a JR2). There are about 1000-1200 JR1s a year, so only those in serious contention for admission get a JR1.Hey-O wrote:Forgive my ignorance. What's a JR1?dot wrote:jr1... coulda gone better.

I see, thanks. I knew about the interviews (which I didn't get), but I didn't know that we were calling them JRsc_dubya_s wrote:JR stands for Josh Rubenstein (the dean of admissions at Harvard Law). Send a LOCI if you are held. It hasn't been all that long for the two of you yet. There are people under review since November. Just be patient.

I dunno, call up the admissions office and ask if you can submit additional info. They're competent and friendly over there, you'll get a straight answer right away.agora139 wrote:blerg. i know. im just afraid they're gonna reject me so fast i wont have another chance to say 'look! look at all this other stuff i did! please let me in!![]()

Our applications are like bottles of fine wine. JR is letting them age so he can appreciate them more fully.starrydreamz3 wrote:ahduth wrote:Also know as the Ancient Ones.Nulli Secundus wrote:Send a LOCI if you are held.
