Below one median nobody is a shoe in for money.

Read the past 4-5 pages to understand what has happened today... :).
But you're the one who said I would be fine!

I was complete in very early December and have not heard anything.
ME. UR since 11/10. I imagine I'm going to get dinged, but I felt I had fairly strong enough numbers for UVA. ughhhhhh
It's fun to be pessimistic, but it's possible you haven't heard anything because UVA might, uh, actually accept you in the next week or two. I'm think they're still going to accept a substantial number of applicants from the RD pool.
I hope so!!
Complete early November. Updated on 12/20.

Complete end of October with status update early January with above median numbers. Seems like they are playing too many games with their admissions this cycle. Why the added annoyance to their future students? Is a small jump in GPA or LSAT (and inturn usnews) really worth making an entire year of applicants have a poor opinion of the school (if only secondary to the admission process). I want my answer even though I won't be attending.

Technically, I would fall into this group. But I'm dead in the water. The adcomm just can't quit laughing long enough to fire off a rejection email.

I do think so, that was just a point of reference if you wanted to know why DallasCowboy said what he said.

I know this seems stressful now, but in a couple of years I think that most of us--whether attending UVA or not--are not going to remember or care that it took UVA a few extra weeks to get back to us. UVA's reputation is probably going to survive intact.

TITCR. Everyone needs to relax. The decision will come, you will make the best choice you can for school, and life will go on. :).

They are playing the same numbers game that all of us are.

Sorry for all the WL/rejects but don't blame UVA.

ITT someone suggests that a 175/3.8 should ED at UVa UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE

So then, if you were me with a 3.9/170(166) would you ED or not?

In previous years I'd say no, but this year if you really want UVA as your first choice, I'd say yes. You're practically guaranteed instant admission if you do (unless there's something on your app holding you back).

I really think it's a no-brainer if UVA is #1. If you are waiting for a T6 or a scholly from below, then don't.

Depends on how bad you want UVa and what the alternatives are. You should have a good shot at NYU and Berkeley, would you take UVa at sticker over those two? If so, then do it NOW.

(As noted earlier, it seems possible to get scholly money even if you ED, but I wouldn't count on it)

LOL at Uva rejecting people who UVa thinks are overqualified.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
