The last update I had was 2/5 UR. I got the offer of admission on the phone on Friday, and the email shortly after. LSAT = 75%, GPA < 25%. So I guess they accepted a lot of high GPA applicants to offset my crappy one.

Good luck to everyone! I know Penn may not be a great school to many of you but this was one of my first choices. It's been such a rough application process for me, recently culminating in getting WL to Notre Dame. At that point I gave up on getting in anywhere in the T14, and now I can finally relax.

Who doesn't think Penn is a great school? Clear top 8 in my opinion.

I applied on 1/20 and I am not complete yet, should I call to check? Seems like people that submitted after me have been complete for a little bit now.

I applied more than a week before you both and I just went complete a few days ago, so I wouldn't worry yet.

Who doesn't think Penn is a great school? Clear top 8 in my opinion.

Agreed, I feel it's def got an advantage over VP ITE because of the class size and it's a better school than DN.

Dear UPenn,

I know that I've always been a long shot to you, what with my 25% numbers and all. I've been complete since 01/05/10, UCR a month later. So please, if you're going to reject me, do it this upcoming week. I feel this unreasonable hope in your silence, and honestly, if that's the way its going to be, I would appreciate the prompt notification, so we can both move on with our lives. Thanks.

Can't make ASW so I took a tour this week. Met with Dean Post too. She said Scholarships should start to come out early March and go all the way till May. HTH

Last year the major set of scholarship awards (Levy, Wilson, Silverman-Rodin) came out around March 10th or so. We had to do the essay about 4 weeks before that. There was also a second round of the scholarships later on for those who were admitted later, but I think it was smaller. There's a thread from last year on it (Levy scholarship is in the thread title).

Sorry to post this here and in the "IN at Penn" thread. But, I submitted my FAFSA already and I'm working on my NeedAccess Form now. Do we need to send actual copies of our (our parents) 2009 income tax forms to the Penn financial aid office by March 1st? An answer to this question would be GREATLY appreciated!

So, I was 'dinged,' as the kids say, on January 12th, via status checker. I wasn't particularly surprised.

This morning, I received a nice letter from Penn letting me know something like "Your many accomplishments and experiences are sure to lead you to success in life - but not here." Thanks for the reminder, Penn.

I was accepted on a Thursday via phone call and received my email on a Friday. If you were accepted Friday then you should expect the email today or tomorrow. It's pretty much just a link to the Admitted Site. The real stuff comes a week or two later in the portfolio. Congrats!

I got the phone call on Friday and the email a few hours later. Did you check your junk mail? Don't fret too much about it, you're probably already in.

mine is 2/5/2010 and never again. i dunno the answer to your question, but i wish that i did.
