Re: In at Duke!
Sorry about the rejections. Would be nice to hear from them one way or the other. My numbers make me pretty much an auto-reject, but I'm tired of waiting. I'm complete since October and under review since mid-December.

Just got the WL... shocked, was for sure expecting a rejection
Anyone know how likely it is to get in off of the WL?

My status updated from "File Under Review 2/8" to "File Under Review 2/15".
Sorta glad it does not say Decision Rendered considering the WLs/dings coming down the pike.

Re: In at Duke!
I went complete first of Jan and just went UR 2/12. Any thoughts on how long I'll be waiting?
I've got above 75% GPA, below 25% LSAT (I'm a bad test taker under time limits), graduated from Carolina in 3 years, also got my paralegal degree, interned in a law firm while in college and now manage a law firm full time, and my brother's a Duke alum. Totally feel like I DESERVE to get in, but I'm kinda expecting a quick slap in the face rejection..I feel like Duke is in love with the LSAT a little too much

You really shouldn't feel like you DESERVE anything in this process.
Sorry for double posting.

Its pretty audacious with a 160 LSAT to assert you deserve to get into a T14Kaytee wrote:I went complete first of Jan and just went UR 2/12. Any thoughts on how long I'll be waiting?

I deserve to get into Yale despite the fact I didn't even apply. The poster seems to have a nice resume, but appears to be forgetting the key fact that LSAT trumps all in law school admissions. Retake the test and do slightly better and I'll agree that you deserve to get in (more deserving than me atleast).someones alt wrote:Its pretty audacious to assert you deserve to get into a T14

Not to mention that test-taking ability under time limits can be increased with regular practice. If you knew you had this weakness (which lots of people have) but practiced enough to overcome it to some extent, then maybe you could make the case that you deserve to get into Duke.Jericwithers wrote:I deserve to get into Yale despite the fact I didn't even apply. Leave the poster alone, lol.
Let's focus on how we haven't received decisions from Duke yet.
