being proactive can be so beneficial. i firmly believe it has already gotten me into one reach school with a nice scholly. don't be annoying, but sell yourself.hamburg wrote: Yeah... I guess I'll go ahead and send one in. Kicking myself for not doing it months ago but I kept expecting a waitlist to come and that I would send it then.

I'm not sure if I ever went UR2 but my status date changed the day of my interview to....application under review (which it already was). Hmph I wonder if that means anything.

I am in the same boat. This late in the cycle, I don't think it is a good sign. But your UR 2 is very recent. Mine UR 1/2 was 3/1 and no status change since.Nightwing wrote:Is UR2 without an interview request a bad sign?goldenbear2020 wrote:UR1 1/6, UR2 3/27, just below both medians. Ready for that WL!

6.5 months??? That's beyond insane. Can you send them additional materials or something- why UVA, new job, something new, just to bring up the conversation about your application.poptart123 wrote:UR2 for 6.5 months now. No interview. Applied almost on the first day. Really confused UVA...

every single person who has been offered an interview at this stage in the game has been a reverse splitter.

I sent a Why UVA in late February and got an email back thanking me for it. I'm expecting a WL since I haven't been dinged at this point, and I'm not really upset, just really confused...jennageorge wrote:6.5 months??? That's beyond insane. Re: UVA c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Applied mid-January. Below both medians, but GPA is only .01 below median. Didn't know to send a Why UVA until I thought it was too late. Why is UVA waiting so long to WL/reject me? Anyone else below both medians (and Non-URM) still waiting to hear back? Their scramble to get reverse splitters as evidenced here gives me some (but very little) hope that they think that they might need my 3.85 (which should actually turn into a 3.88 after my final semester). That, or they just don't care enough about my sub-median stats to give me closure when they could be focusing on the people with a chance.

Just got that rejection email. This one definitely stung the most. URM reverse splitter, submitted in December.

Also just got rejected. Applied 09/03. UR1 09/08. UR2 09/12. Had dinner with admissions staff in my city in Oct. Sent a Why UVA/LOCI in late Feb. Rejected 03/30. They must have read my earlier post.

If I'd known more going into this cycle, I would've done a lot differently, but I'm pretty happy with the choices I have and decided not to retake/reapply after very serious consideration.Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:I'm gpa<25 lsat <50 and WLd. I'm just confused as to why I haven't heard back from several super reach schools, like UVA, yet. I should be a pretty easy WL/reject in the T14. Maybe they all just can't decide whether they should WL or reject me- lol.

Is UR2 without an interview request a bad sign? I've been UR1 since 2/16, I'm just wondering if a UR2 with no interview is something that should make me sad.

eta: In reality, though, people have reported UR2 dates prior to interview requests. Not sure what a UR2 date means this late in the game.

I was WL'ed earlier in the cycle, and I'm about to visit UVA for the 2nd time next week. I've already had chance to talk to Grace about what I can do off the waitlist, etc...any suggestions of other questions I can/should ask, or basically how to make the most of a 2nd visit without seeing overly desperate (don't get me wrong, I totally am
)
