That sucks. Sounds like a bad day for splitters with their eye on Ithaca.jjcorvino wrote:Just got my first ding, hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come!

Do adcoms talk to each other about students?

I somehow doubt they talk about individual candidates. Maybe overarching "how is the cycle coming?"Thelaw23 wrote:Do adcoms talk to each other about students?

If I'm remembering correctly from the forum I attended, they'll call each other up and ask questions if something seems shady but I don't think they call like, "So what do you think of __?"Thelaw23 wrote:Do adcoms talk to each other about students?

Cornell's LSN graph tells a pretty bloody story right now

Absolutely brutal. They rejected a 180 today. That doesn't make me feel as bad (probably not something with my app).Kopetz wrote:Cornell's LSN graph tells a pretty bloody story right now

I hadn't even thought of that. Could be possible.TexasENG wrote:I wonder if from a strategy standpoint if the upper LSAT band taking such a hit means that schools are looking at that group as less likely to enroll in the Lower T14 than usual since HYSCC will need everyone they can get in that score band to maintain.S.Picquery wrote:Delusions of self-importance?TexasENG wrote:Damn, what is going on over at Cornell?

anyone else noticed that the "rejected" symbol on lsn graphs' key is a diamond but they use a square on the graph itself?

Wonder why it's just Cornell that is being so aggressive with rejecting people thus far. Got into Georgetown but haven't heard anything from Cornell yet. Assumed one meant the other.

Penn was pretty aggressive on the one decision day they've had this year. They rejected quite a few people on LSN, and it was much earlier than normal.Rubbishdump wrote:Wonder why it's just Cornell that is being so aggressive with rejecting people thus far. Also, Cornell is much, much smaller than Georgetown, so they probably need to have a different strategy. Georgetown gets by far the most applicants out of the T14, by almost double (around 10k)

Do you guys think that maybe this is one of the cycles where you might be at an advantage for applying later?
I remember Spivey saying in one of his podcasts that this sometimes is the case, wondering if that applies here.

Wonder why Georgetown is so popular. It was really a negotiating tool for me, I was considering vandy and UCLA over it. Gtown's employment #s aren't that hot. Regardless, aren't numbers down? I assumed that would make schools more lenient.Keilz wrote:Penn was pretty aggressive on the one decision day they've had this year. Prestige, nation's capital, "accessible" numbers. I'm not really sure, all I know is when I first started thinking about law school I wanted to go to Georgetown because there was no way in hell I was getting into Harvard and I was unaware of anything between the twoRubbishdump wrote:Wonder why Georgetown is so popular.
