I'm sure they will. Rejections will have to come out first thoughspyke123 wrote:Hm I really wonder if Columbia is going to send out another decent sized batch of acceptances... Or just stick to accepting 2-3 people a week...

Re: Columbia c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Maybe someone placed on reserve can answer this question for me.
I want to send in an additional addendum (GPA Addendum) to Columbia but I'm hesitant to do so based on what this paragraph said.
It is not possible for candidates on Reserve to have an interview with the Dean of Admissions or make an appearance before the Admissions Committee. Also, in order to protect the confidentiality that each applicant entrusts to us, we cannot discuss the substance or outcome of a candidacy over the telephone. If you have questions or concerns or if you believe that materials already submitted need amplification, please forward a written statement to the attention of Dean Nkonye Iwerebon. If we determine that further information would be helpful in our upcoming review of your application, we shall, of course, contact you.
Has anyone else sent an addendum or been willing to send one yet?

Finally got my NCE yesterday, postmarked 1/30. (LOL campus mail.)
I already knew I was in, but the Butler was a nice surprise.

I'm thinking most of us will get swept into another Reserve round sometime this week or next week. I'd still be optimistic if I were you, though.twinkletoes16 wrote:so total radio silence here. don't know what to think. is this an incoming ding? Will I be second round of reserves? I don't get it.

Re: Columbia c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I didn't see any 172+ report getting reserved in the last wave, even early submits with shitty GPAs like me. So I'm guessing they're just waiting a bit for median protection before reserving most of us.

SO...fellow early submitters...can we all agree that it looks like they're going through the January apps before revisiting us?
Yes. Definitely.

Let me just get this straight: CLS, a school not known for YP, is about to waitlist a group that includes HLS admits, above-75ths, above-medians, and T14 full-riders? And let's not forget a 175/3.7 URM early submitter was among us not long ago. I am incredulous.

I'm calling their bluff. I may be WL-bound, but there's no way everyone else still waiting is too.banjo wrote:Let me just get this straight: CLS, a school not known for YP, is about to waitlist a group that includes HLS admits, above-75ths, above-medians, and T14 full-riders? Maybe. Maybe not. But now that I have at least one solid option I'd be happy with, I really just want them to do whatever they're going to do quickly. Then at least I can figure out where I'm going next year.banjo wrote:Let me just get this straight: CLS, a school not known for YP, is about to waitlist a group that includes HLS admits, above-75ths, above-medians, and T14 full-riders?
