Maybe JR really is trying to put the focus on people who have been out of undergrad at least a couple years. You and I are basically numbers twins, and we're both non-URM females; the only difference I can see that might account for why I had a JR1&2 is that I've been working for a while.eaa1537 wrote:ugh I'm starting to get really frustrated with all these people getting JR1s (congrats btw). Stats:
4.05/167
URM
BA from UCLA, MA's from UCLA and UofC
Worked for National Endowment for Democracy, Field work with Roma Gypsy, operated a homeless shelter, pretty solid PS, LOR from professors and boss.
I'm actually pretty surprised that I got a JR1 (and so soon, too)
Good luck to everyone!

I can't tell if you're being serious or not (probably not), but I'd venture to say that she's a real person.Nulli Secundus wrote: Is Andrea an alias they use for all e-mail replies, a chatbot or a real person?

I actually think there's some validity to this. JR brings up WE in his TLS interview, and it seems that for the most part the still-in-UG people who got in had extremely high stats. So it looks like Harvard's at least taking WE softs fairly seriously.juliachild-ish wrote:Maybe JR really is trying to put the focus on people who have been out of undergrad at least a couple years. Not enough! They need to equate 3 years of WE to 1 LSAT point.law_monkey wrote: I actually think there's some validity to this. Sure. Maybe they'll count all the years of hostessing/waitressing I have too. That'll drive my LSAT right up.r6_philly wrote:Not enough! Held. Well, that's not too bad. I was expecting a rejection. I don't think I'll even send a LOCI. I'm pretty pleased with it.

Heh, one more year of work and I would be sitting on the median (for LSAT, nothing can be done about my GPA).r6_philly wrote:Not enough! I can't be the only person obsessively refreshing this page trying to figure out if people are getting JR2s today. Who's with me over here in the JR1--> ??? corner?

JR told me not to hesitate to reach out if I have any questions or concerns. I could give him a call and tell him I'm concerned that cool people on TLS are not getting JR1's.LinzerTorte wrote:Aw, thanks!r6_philly wrote:Well we can round up in that situation!LinzerTorte wrote:
