E-mailed them and one response said that it can take up to 2 weeks to get there, the other response was a PDF of my decision - a rejection. Sorry 3/24 group, it isn't looking too bright.

Excited to go, but definitely have mixed feelings about the visit because it's going to cost me quite a lot of money (flying from Milwaukee into Roanoke, then ground transportation into Lexington...ugh). I sure hope it's worth it.

Re: Washington and Lee
I actually RSVPed b/c someone told me they covered 300 for travel expenses. I'm considering just sucking it up and paying or explaining the dilemma and doing the phone interview. It seems like it is definitely worth it, its just a lot of money...I'm really torn, have been thinking about this all day.
EDIT: just to clarify- spoke to admissions office, they do not cover anything

Visited today for a few hours. The campus was beautiful, the students/faculty/staff were generous, and everything exceeded my (already high) expectations. I am truly jealous of those admitted (especially those with scholarships that would bring the cost down to a reasonable level).

Yeah, I was waitlisted which was a big (good) surprise with my 3.2+/161/3yrs WE.nol607 wrote:Are you waitlisted? If so- riding it out?smartin wrote:Visited today for a few hours. I figure I might as well stay on the WL for a while since I got such a great feeling on campus.

I just booked my flight. Apologies if this has been discussed ad nauseum but where is the place to stay?

Is anyone going to WL Students day next Friday (Apr. 9th)?
I'm thinking about going but don't feel like renting a car and driving out there by myself. Anyone in DC driving out there?? I'll pay gas $$ if I can catch a ride.

I've been complete since 11/13. Emailed them about a month ago and they said they'd guarantee a decision for people like us on 4/1. Hey guess what?! That was yesterday! ... and nothing... Has your complete date updated? Mine did 3/26, first time since 11/13
At this point I've got a full time job offer for 1 year (just graduating this May) versus W&L law. I'd really like to know what I'm going to be doing next year...

Mine hasnt been updated since 1/26... it went from complete 11/06 to review 1/08...and then back to complete. I really have no earthly idea what is going on with it. Hopefully good news? At this point, I cannot tell - I think I have been put in a corner somewhere in W&L's admission office.

Nobody puts baby in the corner. Sorry! Had to! Maybe we're just the super awesome group? I am holding out that they're between accepting us vs. WL and they're checking to see if they'll have room. ....

3/24 ding. I'm more upset with USPS that it took 10 days for me to get it.

Well obviously we are not baby, so nonetheless we have been stricken to some dingy, ill-lighted crevice in Lexington. But seriously - I think that is the only possibility; I applied long enough ago that they could've dinged me much earlier, so it has to be btw a WL and the promised land...I have a feeling next week will bring news.

Just got home from the open house. I'm pretty much sold. I'll be submitting my deposit in the next couple of days!

Re: Washington and Lee
The ASW this weekend was outstanding. The campus is beyond gorgeous, the facility is awesome, and they really did a good job selling the third year program. The current students were really friendly and went out of their way to hang out with us. I still have some concerns about how small W&L and Lexington are and job prospects in non DC markets but I am very impressed otherwise.
Anybody else there this weekend? Your thoughts about it?
