good to know. thanks :)

Yay! but did they say when it was coming.....?
It sounded to me like its not going out all at once, more of an ongoing process...but I would think it'll be out before the deposit deadline
That seemed to be what I got from my email exchange with my financial aid person. FWIW, it seemed like aid went out last year until early April or so from my check of the BC class of 2012 thread.

No - maybe a separate drive-through/tour for them. My SO may or may not be coming, but that's about it.

Can we bring SO's? That would be cool.

I don't see why not. I think if it were more of an "ASW" thing, with events going all day and night for 2 days, it'd be a little strange, since the focus there is really on meeting your classmates. But Friday seems like it's going to be some light events and info sessions for a few hours, and that's it. Might be nice to have some extra perspective, since she'll be dealing with me for 3 years while I'm there.

Good point. I'd love to bring my SO!

Regarding my financial aid-- only loans :( Any hope in negotiating? I got around 10k/year from another top 30.

+1, but an unconditional 20k/yr from a top 25 and more than that from other top 30s

I'm in the same boat. I sent BC an email letting them know, and got NO response. When I called, they said they'd received my email and it was in my file. Anyone have better suggestions on how to negotiate?

I brought my SO to Michigan ASW (she was included in all the events [they were really welcoming and excited to answer her questions as well] throughout the 2 days, and during the stuff she didn't want to come to [like classes] she looked at apartments...it was very helpful for both of us). I encourage anyone who has a SO that is moving with them to law school to bring them to ASW/ASD's. Since law school will be my community for the next 3 years, and my fiancee is such a huge part of my life, its important to me that she also feels part of that community (and that the community is welcoming).

Sorry, to change up the subject. I just have a request.

So, I'm from Florida and Texas (Accepted 3/15 at BC) and not too used to the whole North East thing. I am in at UNC Chapel Hill and IU-Bloomington amongst some others. I loved BC when I visited for undergrad but I am not sure I can handle Boston.

I'd love to be sold on why I should go to BC. I am coming to the ASD this week and am very optimistic. I am interested in the culture of the school and the degree mobility, mostly, but any other general info would be great.

If anyone has a really good sales pitch, I would love to hear it.

When I visited BC, I went off the beaten path of the tour and ventured into the student lounge/cafeteria area on my own. I stopped a few people in line to ask them a few quick questions, and every single one said they love it there, and they can't believe how friendly the whole place is, both administration and students. I expected to hear this from the tour guides and such, but it said a lot that so many random students felt the exact same way.

Im not actually a law student, but Im a student in the UG and lived on the law campus my freshman year. From afar, it certainly seems like a friendly place that people seem to enjoy.

I can attest to this as well. I spoke with two students and they absolutely loved the school. I also got a great vibe from the whole school. I can't imagine going anywhere else.

Awesome! I just got an email with the open house agenda and thought it was $$, haha.

Did you already receive your aid package online, and this is in addition to that, or is this the first $$ communication from BC?

This is annoying. I thought the same thing too. Theyve sent me like 5 emails about whats happening at ASD, youd think they would be able to consolidate it a bit.

I actually haven't looked online at all, but this was separate. It was just an email from them with the scholly info, nothing on need-based financial aid.

Did anyone else miss the priority deadline, I haven't been able to fill mine out yet as my parents have not done their taxes yet. Do you think this will effect the amount of aid I get?

Ah, ok. I think people (myself included) are trying to figure out if our online package is all we're getting, or if merit aid is still possible. Still, congrats!
