Re: Columbia 2010
So, after getting a request for Fall grades and not sending a transcript (one grade still pending) but providing an e-mail, I got in today with a Hamilton.

Haha, I can't complain. Now I'm just sad that my undergrad screwed up sending the Stanford dean's cert so I went complete in January instead of in Oct/Nov.managamy wrote:It must be a great feeling!picaresco wrote:So, after getting a request for Fall grades and not sending a transcript (one grade still pending) but providing an e-mail, I got in today with a Hamilton.

No, nothing really interesting. Just an acceptance letter.JohnYuu wrote:What is in the envelope? Anything special?

(I assume so anyway. To be honest, I haven't gotten around to opening it yet.)

I haven't opened it yet; the acceptance feels especially good, though, since I applied ED to their undergrad program and they dinged me outright. Fools.crackberry wrote:No Hamilton or Butler?!managamy wrote:I got a urine-colored envelope in the mail.

Not me. Blah, well maybe since my mail comes so early it'll be here tomorrow. If not, well, so be it.managamy wrote:Congrats! It's a great day for the California applicants to Columbia.SR86 wrote:In today too, Bay Area.

SLS >> CLS imo. I'll probably be withdrawing from CLS soon as I can't see myself taking it over Harvard (or Stanford if they ever stop ignoring me... heh). Hopefully someone else on here gets my spot!crackberry wrote:Not me. Blah, well maybe since my mail comes so early it'll be here tomorrow. If not, well, so be it.managamy wrote:Congrats! Haha well I appreciate the optimism Core. Did you apply to CLS? You didn't hear anything today did you?Core wrote:You're going to get in. No worries.crackberry wrote:Not me. It was part of the stipulations when I traded NancyBotwin for NYgrrrl in the DIBS thread. And yes, Alabama boy here.crackberry wrote:Forza, I asked you this somewhere else, but didn't you/don't you go to Alabama? What's with the horrifying 'tar?forza wrote:In!

Re: Columbia 2010
Yeah I mean I agree. I'm actually not sure why I care about CLS. My parents have very strong connections to Columbia (not the law school), and my mom definitely wants me to go, so maybe that's why I still care. I dunno.SR86 wrote:SLS >> CLS imo. Haha well I have no idea what you're talking about w/r/t that trade, but I'm sure it is difficult for you to look at your own 'tar.forza wrote:It was part of the stipulations when I traded NancyBotwin for NYgrrrl in the DIBS thread. I think I'm being realistic. Stanford took you early on and you got a JR1, so I don't see Columbia not biting.crackberry wrote:Haha well I appreciate the optimism Core. Did you apply to CLS? I applied and have heard nothing. I go to a TTT UG, have a pair of cake majors, and have a relatively low LSAT for CLS, so I'm not expecting anything (but I hope, of course).

Re: Columbia 2010
To play devil's advocate: my LSAT is only one point higher than yours (and my average is three points lower than your highest), I also had a "cake" major (but only one) and you got an early JR1 as well. The only difference between us is Stanford UG and SLS, which I think are connected, and the fact that YOU are a URM.Core wrote:I think I'm being realistic.
