I would assume wave. I doubt they would offer JS1s and be 85 slots short at the time of the offer.Ris19 wrote:Anyone know if the week 13 and 14 interview slots are for people already offered JS1s or do we think there's a wave coming out soon?

There should be a new wave. Those slots tend to go quickly once JS1's are released.Ris19 wrote:Anyone know if the week 13 and 14 interview slots are for people already offered JS1s or do we think there's a wave coming out soon?

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Oh wow, this should be a big wave then! Two weeks from now has the most slots open of any week so far. Hopefully JS has determined it's my time, lol!HorseThief wrote:As others have mentioned, we've got a lot of slots opening up next week. Wed: 10, Thurs: 15, Fri: 9, Next Tues: 17, Wed: 8, Thurs: 18, Fri: 8. Total of 85.
Total = 350
- Week 1 (11/3): 25
- Week 2 (11/10): 27
- Week 3 (11/17): 48
- Week 4 (11/24): 10
- Week 5 (12/1): 46
- Week 6 (12/8): 23
- Week 7 (12/15): 49
- Week 8 (12/22): 0

- Week 11 (1/12): 0
- Week 12 (1/19): 0
- Week 13 (1/26): 34
- Week 14 (2/1): 51
(My total seems pretty low, so I've probably missed a few slots. Let's just call it a minimum from now on)
Between this and Columbia, I'm going to be glued to my phone all day.

Why do law schools have admissions Twitter pages if almost nothing pertaining to admissions is posted there?

~1200. That was their stated target (whether they reach it or not, who knows).mpc347 wrote:They're only at 350 out of what... 1000 interview slots?

More like 1200 if we can rely on past years.

I think you're right. I'll try to dig through that tonight to see how many I missed.pylon wrote:I've missed these updates, horsethief! Also, I think there were some interviews on Week 11, because there was a JS1 wave on 1/8 that would have interviewed then. There was some discussion about how many slots there were too... can anyone remember approx. how many?

Anyways, any way you look at it, between the small number of JS1s and small number JS2s, it looks weare way early in the process this year.

Turns out I forgot about the slots I mentioned for week 11. I've upped the total, but did anyone here interview during this past week? That's the only data I'm missing so far.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Do you really think they're going to do 800 more interviews? That's roughly 70 interviews a week if they go until the end of April nonstop. That would not even make sense since they have to get back to everybody by the end of April.HorseThief wrote:Turns out I forgot about the slots I mentioned for week 11. Total (min) = 403

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
That's a really good point. Even if there are people who get interviewed off the waitlist (which does happen), getting to ~1200 is a tall feat. Although who knows whether they actually hit that target or not.ravel wrote:Do you really think they're going to do 800 more interviews? Possible, if your 70/wk is accurate. There are 5 people on the admissions team: http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/admissions ... ions-team/ravel wrote:Do you really think they're going to do 800 more interviews? That equals 14 interviews per person per week. At 30 minutes per interview (prep plus interview time), that's 7 hours per week per person. That's manageable, no?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
