Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
I went complete 2/13, and I did not receive a 3/14 DLA...
I see that others whom went complete 2/13 received DLAs with mixed results.
Is this probably a bad sign for me?? Freaking out that I haven't received it, as others whom went complete on 2/13 have. Thanks for any help.

My interview was by a student. This year, NU had a # of law students conduct the interviews. My interviewer was very personable and didn't quiz off my resume. Not sure if this sheds any light or not. I heard from my friends who did the NU interview (admitted) that they did not have "intense" interviews akin to job interviews.john7234797 wrote:Got my interview tomorrow. Is it pretty standard softball type stuff?

This is a random question:
I know a lot of people are offered 1 year deferments with full rides (K-JD's).
Does anyone know what happens if you are offered one, accept, and then fail to find employment? Or, if instead of working, you get a masters?

Does HELD mean the same thing as waitlist for other schools or does Northwestern have a waitlist plus it's "held" list as well?

Not quite. Held means there are still a few spots available. Waitlist means that all spots are filled, and that the only way off the waitlist is if people who have spots give them up.
From the assistant dean:
Hold v. Waitlist: redux - A post from last year. Pretty much all of it rings true right now. Enjoy. Yes,... http://tmblr.co/Z_-MHq17CJxz4

Admissions told me they are trying to move the "holds" to a decision by the end of the month/early April. Decisions include, of course, being waitlisted.anna8506 wrote:Submitted three held essays today. No idea how long this is gonna take to hear a final decision.

Any ideas?I am kind of under the impression the faster you submit things they faster your decision/better chances at admission.

Is there even a point to doing these? I'm below median on both counts. They should have just put me out of my misery with a ding.

Anyone want to switch held essays? I was hoping to get another set of eyes to look over my stuff for grammar/flow before I upload them.
