I'd take some more off my GPA for a higher LSAT because at this point my GPA really doesn't matter. (I guess it depends on the exchange rate)

I mean yeah we'd all like to even out and just be a "normal" applicant, but I think splitter>reverse splitter in general for law school apps.cusenation wrote:I actually think I'd be willing to trade 4-5 points off my LSAT for a GPA increase...andy261 wrote:+10shntn wrote:Mmhmm. I don't know I just got the Berkeley ding and I am a reverse splitter. Would a 175/1.4 get into t-14?

I don't think any of the T-14 are that splitter-friendly.

It's possible to have a college degree with a 1.4?

you would trade 3 LSAT points for a -1.5 in your GPA. that's a shitty conversion. i was thinking, maybe take a -.25 hit in GPA for 5 pointswannabelawstudent wrote:Would a 175/1.4 get into t-14?

I'm pretty sure a 1.4 wouldn't have passed enough classes to graduate.Crowing wrote:It's possible to have a college degree with a 1.4?

Probably with the LSAC's oppressive GPA calculation methods.Crowing wrote:It's possible to have a college degree with a 1.4?

If you fail a class and retake it and get an A, the LSAC would count that as an A and an F, while the UG might just count the A.

I did have a friend in college who gamed the academic probation system pretty hard. He would fail a semester, then do well enough the next semester to get off probation so he didn't get kicked out, then fail the next semester again, and so on. 4 years into college he was still a sophomore and just picked his major and finished his 101 class.

Hence some of the wildly large gaps between institutional GPA and LSAC GPA you see on LSN and TLS.wannabelawstudent wrote:If you fail a class and retake it and get an A, the LSAC would count that as an A and an F, while the UG might just count the A.

Same here, my UG has me at a much higher GPA than the LSAC.cusenation wrote:+100wannabelawstudent wrote:If you fail a class and retake it and get an A, the LSAC would count that as an A and an F, while the UG might just count the A.

Why would a sane person even want to stay in college that long.Crowing wrote:I did have a friend in college who gamed the academic probation system pretty hard.
