I'm already working on Plan B. I'll keep you guys posted. ;)
Is this referring to just the evening division? Don't think this is accurate overall.
You know, I thought those were the numbers for fall EIW/OCI overall, but I may be pulling something out of my butt. Let me double check and I'll post back.
I already added up everyone who accepted an offer at last year's OCI (via offer tracker) and it was north of 100 (which is ~25%). People splitting might screw that figure up some, but nowhere near 10%.

ETA: I don't think I included Patent firms, and probably not Dewey either. Nor any firms that came last year that aren't coming this year (though unlikely that there are many in that category, and any that are probably didn't take many last year). But factor in all that and it'll be even more.

I'm probably veering into the MOST conservative interpretation of the numbers. I'd wager it's something like 20%, to be honest. (I over-compensate. Almost all of my friends got gigs through OCI but I am trying to keep my expectations LOW, DAMMIT. 8) ) But good catch - thanks, ted!

I got that e-mail last week, along with an updated date on my status checker.

I've been checking Espiritu's twitter all week to see if there'll be any movement this week. :( Seeing how it's 5:30 EST, my hopes are fast dwindling.
I just got it this evening as well... I'm, once again, going to take it as a good sign. Good luck, WLers!

Hi everyone, I don't get to check the forums that often, but I'm a rising 2L and one of the Ambassadors for the incoming class. Feel free to send me a private message if you have any questions about Fordham/1L in general, etc. Good luck!

I have a question for you. How much does Frodham pay you to be a shill?

There is no reason you should be encouraging people to "PM" you so you can encourage them to take out over 200k in loans for a 20% shot at making 160k. Well, there is a reason, specifically Fordham paying you to do so.

From the sticky at the top of the Acceptances, Denials and Waitlists subforum:
"Discussion between applicants is fine, but this forum is NOT the place to argue or debate which law schools are worth attending and under what circumstances. The threads here typically involve people who have already decided to apply and are seeking or sharing news on the state of their applications. You and them and everyone else are all free to discuss whether or not attending is a good idea in the appropriate forum, not here.

Starting or perpetuating arguments here about whether a school is worth attending may be deemed trolling and get you banned."
Why hasn't ajax been banned yet? Mods, please mod.

Another personal attack. Is there a reason you can't fight facts with facts? When will you admit that Fordham is extremely overpriced?

We actually have been modding, thank you. Ajax has been warned and now he has crossed the line again and will take a brief vacation. That said, thanks for reminding people of exactly what these boards are for.

She is not convincing anyone to do anything. Her position is to support students who have already decided to attend law school at Fordham, throughout the upcoming year. There is no fight.

ajax, I've warned you before about dissing the school in this thread. You now have 24 hours to think about it.

Seriously. That DID sound a bit school marmish but sheesh. Enough is freaking enough.

I would suggest calling admissions and ask about your situation. They're really helpful, I called earlier today and got some good answers for my questions.

honest answer: unlikely to get any money if getting off waitlist. They'll just point you to loans.

While this may be true. IMO it is always worth asking and negotiating rather than just withdrawing. Make a few phone calls/write a few emails to see where you get. I was able to get money off the WL at multiple peer schools this cycle.

I got into Fordham with money off the WL, as have other people in the past and even just recently this year.

Honestly, it is unlikely, but there's no reason not to ask about need based aid. They never once "pointed me to loans," when I was negotiating scholarship money with them.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
