You're a 2/16er and still alive?? That makes me feel better. Maybe we'll make it through this round of slayings.

Yeah, I think they'll get in touch with us soon. They may be holding us just to gauge our commitment to Cornell.

Just fyi, my review date was 2/7 when there was a wave of waitlists. I survived the day and was admitted a few days later. So, good news?

Just went under my first review 2/17.
Is it too late to send a LOCI or supplemental Why Cornell? (in addition to the 3 lines on the app).
Anything I can do to help me stand a chance with 3.5x and 167 (with economic diversity)?
This cycle with Cornell seems especially brutal

You give me great hope sir. I hope they're not just sending them out randomly and the big WL comes in like 6 hours.

I can't even imagine how tough it is for them to gauge interest level. Their class only holds 200 seats! (I don't know how they hedge bets against over-enrollment every year.)

This seems like Cornell jerking people around - which is pretty cruel after having the worst response time in the *top 50 or 100*, let alone the better schools. I mean, for Christsakes, I might be more of a borderline candidate, but q_b can go to bloody Chicago, and tell those bastards to get stuffed.

PS: q_b you should definitely tell them to GFY
He's a URM. Depending on what type of URM cycles can vary drastically between schools. If he was a 175/4.0 non urm applying to Cornell I'd say !?!??!?! but he might be a native american or some non mexican/puerto rican URM which are kind of hard to predict.

It's funny the first time but when you really get to looking at that dog... it's expression is really creepy.

Well my surprise came from the fact that:

A. We're both Mexican American
B. We have the same numbers

And shes a girl.

I'm "processing" 1/4. Does this mean I still need to get to complete, sit there for two months, and then make it to UR?!

It means you will be as old as Father Time when you get a response.

But yes, to answer your question about the next steps for your application.

I mean, I was sorta surprised by Cornell, but I was much more surprised by Chicago :) so I wouldn't want it the other way around. Cornell was never a top choice for me. And I am a girl

Huh. I think this is the first time I've been in review, though. Anyway, yeah, sorry to hear that some folks got the WL.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
