You're a 2/16er and still alive?? That makes me feel better. Maybe we'll make it through this round of slayings.

Yeah, I think they'll get in touch with us soon. They may be holding us just to gauge our commitment to Cornell.PinkCow wrote:neonx wrote:Jesus Christ; this is just getting rude.

Just fyi, my review date was 2/7 when there was a wave of waitlists. I survived the day and was admitted a few days later. So, good news?

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Just went under my first review 2/17.
Is it too late to send a LOCI or supplemental Why Cornell? (in addition to the 3 lines on the app).
Anything I can do to help me stand a chance with 3.5x and 167 (with economic diversity)?
This cycle with Cornell seems especially brutal

You give me great hope sir. I hope they're not just sending them out randomly and the big WL comes in like 6 hours.

I can't even imagine how tough it is for them to gauge interest level. Their class only holds 200 seats! (I don't know how they hedge bets against over-enrollment every year.)PinkCow wrote:spacepenguin wrote:PinkCow wrote:neonx wrote:Jesus Christ; this is just getting rude.

He's a URM. Depending on what type of URM cycles can vary drastically between schools. If he was a 175/4.0 non urm applying to Cornell I'd say !?!??!?! but he might be a native american or some non mexican/puerto rican URM which are kind of hard to predict.Guicciardini wrote:This seems like Cornell jerking people around - which is pretty cruel after having the worst response time in the *top 50 or 100*, let alone the better schools. Applied 11/28. I went complete 2/1 and then UR 2/4. Updated 2/10 and 2/16
The hell? I thought you'd be a shoe in.
PS: q_b you should definitely tell them to GFY

I'm "processing" 1/4. Does this mean I still need to get to complete, sit there for two months, and then make it to UR?!

But yes, to answer your question about the next steps for your application.
