No specific WUSTL article (unless I missed it too), just in general.Jeffro wrote:In reference to ATL, did I miss an article about WUSTL specifically or do you just mean the bad economy, high debt, no jobs stories regarding law schools in general?Kabuo wrote:+1. I really want to want to go to Wash U, but TLS/ATL/bad cycle has made me feel like I'd be an idiot to go this year if they don't bump up my scholarship. I've genuinely hated the whole process of applying to law schools and really just want to go somewhere now. Come on WUSTL, moar $$ plz.

Apparently they WL'd lots of people with <168 yesterday, including some people with very high GPAs.AdamAndSteve wrote:Wait, 167 gay mexican 3.3x with strong softs, and I just got a WL. should I be surprised?

They seemingly have offered too many spots so far and have to wait until their deposit deadline to reassess. I expect they'll take lots of people off the WLAdamAndSteve wrote:Wait, 167 gay mexican 3.3x with strong softs, and I just got a WL. should I be surprised?

Ya, the striking thing about the wall, though, isn't the usual "those below it don't get in" but that EVERYONE above it was accepted.
Not that I'm complaining.

I bet there eventually will be but there aren't any since they just started sending out WL's/rejects right now. Just my guess.splitmuch wrote:Ya but last year they at least sprinkled in some WLs and 1 rejection.

tbf, the 1 rejection was barry zuckercorn, who had arguably the worst cycle for a 176 ever.splitmuch wrote:Ya but last year they at least sprinkled in some WLs and 1 rejection.

Maybe Emory last year. This year Emory looked a lot more holistic. http://emory.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats ... Cycle=1011bk187 wrote:That's how a lot of the splitter friendly schools work (see: Emory).splitmuch wrote:EVERYONE above it was accepted.

WL'ed..
I know it is difficult to gauge, but does anyone have any idea about how many students in WUSTL's waitlist may become accepted?

2 Schools of thought. 1 is they say they are already over committed so that could hurt. The other, more likely IMO, thought is that theyve accepted alot of really high LSATs who won't go, so there may be alot of room.

Re: WUSTL 2011 Cycle
There'll be a lot of movement as they try to get people w/ high GPAs who are willing to commit to the school. My guess is that they weren't that far off of a 168 median last year, so they're giving it a go by cutting the class size this year in order to make it easier.splitmuch wrote:sparcarc wrote:WL'ed..

Hm. Hangin' on with my 167 and 3.73. Submitted in November and IR changed from 3/14 to 3/29. Do people only get accepted by phonecall / only waitlisted by email?

According to LSN, I am the best "reject" candidate thus far. I wonder if I screwed something up on my app.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
