Figures that if it took to the 30th to get an acceptance sent out the 27th, it's perfectly reasonable to believe that there are acceptances going out the 28th and arriving either Sat or Mon.

I don't mind the snail mail so much (old school, kind of neat to get it in paper), but WHY WOULD THEY STAGGER RELEASES? Is the sole purpose to imbue the process with added stress and uncertainty?

Perhaps I am ignorant. Is there any rational explanation? Surely they can submit them all to USPS on the same day (especially considering their late-cyle release)...

How staggered are they? You mean the fact that some November submitters get their decisions in January, February, and March? I suspect that they aren't sitting on anyone's applications; there are probably still some that are being reviewed or considered and aren't finished before the cutoff. Penn took two months to finish reviewing my app (according to status checker) other people it took a few weeks. Probably depends on your file and who is reviewing. But this is all just guess work, and if you mean that they mailings for the same wave are staggered that's just plain evil.

The last part is what they mean. There have been several different post-mark dates on the people admitted this week. The earliest post mark was 1/24 and the latest 1/28 so far.

Gosh that's horrible. I didn't even look at the postmark, I'll check when I get home. The letter just said 1/24 at the top. I wonder if maybe it's the post office's fault and not theirs.

I'm located within a couple of hours of the school, and I only got my letter (dated on the 28th) today.

I believe there was someone several pages back. Since they've made them to CA and WA, I don't see a reason why FL wouldn't have gotten yet (unless the south is still shut down from that inch of snow).

ETA: oops, 3000th post. Wanted this to be for an acceptance. Oh well!

I'm in Miami and still haven't received anything As embarrassing for the south as the snow situation is, I'm really hoping it's to blame for the lack of good news.

I have a theory that they've had all of the interviewees' packages sealed and ready to go since last week, with or without scholarships, and the interviews were just to fuck with us a bit, make us wait... and to practice for next cycle.

I think all the people with later complete dates have been scholly folks, no? Maybe I'm rationalizing that my 12/26 complete may not be included in this wave.

Been lurking this thread for a while but wanted to share that I just got the big blue envelope! My first T14 acceptance of the cycle to boot!

GPA a little under Median, LSAT > 75th.
Complete on 1/6
Acceptance letter dated 1/27, package postmarked 1/28
I live in San Diego
Also I'm K-JD and didn't get asked for fall grades (though I sent updated grades to LSAC early January because my GPA went up).

The 1/28 postmark should hopefully calm some people nerves (lol at anything really calming anyone in this process). Here's to seeing all the 1/28 packages showing up tomorrow and early next week!
