So where'd she go?Spritzpiggy wrote:Thanks. I usually consider myself a pretty adept googler, but KB has almost no online footprint of her education at all! All I have learned (outside of admissions stuff) is that she participated in an outdoor swim race a few years ago.
Now back to interview prep...
EDIT: I am a good googler after all!! Found it, finally. She did go to law school, just not at Harvard. Beautiful.

Got me beat, still haven't figured out how to get that to work for me. I can get a -0 for my games section of the LSAT but can't put an avatar that works up for TLS. Logic.Spritzpiggy wrote:Yeah, that was my first thought too.
On another note, I finally have an avatar! I'm coming up in the world lol

Checking in, received 12/23 but still waiting to go complete. How long does that usually take?

I don't recall ever being magic lol. You just have to be super nervous every day.Yukos wrote:Is Lavitz still magic for predicting JS2 dates or do I have just have to be super nervous every day next week
Nope. First JS2 wave took place over a Tuesday-Wednesday period. I'm sure of it becausehousebro13 wrote: Well it seems we've only had JS2s on Mondays and Fridays

I wonder if it will be a mix of acceptances, dings, and holds all this week

For those of us who applied day 1, and have heard nothing, what is more likely: hold or rejection?
The lack of a rejection for day 1 applicants would seem to imply 'hold', no?

I think nothing can be inferred right now except that they just haven't gotten all the emails out yet. Could be a rejection, hold, or even a JS1. Just gotta sit tight, unfortunately... So the conventional wisdom is we'll see more holds and rejections before we see more JS1s? My zen was all messed up Friday having to hope not to receive an email from Harvard after spending months hoping to get one. Just trying to get my mind right, y'all.

Do you have to JS1 to be accepted? Or are auto-admits or auto-rejects less likely to be interviewed?

From the OP:
Acronyms
JS1= Skype Interview with either Admissions Dean Jessica Soban or Admissions Director Karen Buttenbaum. It is a necessary but not a sufficient condition for being admitted.
JS2= Phone call or e-mail from Jessica, notifying you of admission to Harvard Law.

I can't check my phone at work, only once every 2-ish hours. Driving. Me. Crazy. Run to check it and no emails, no calls.
Although with H maybe that's a good thing.

Does anyone have an idea of how good of an indicator for admission getting JS1 is? I know this might not have a clear answer, but how likely is it that someone who gets JS1 and has a fine interview does not get in?aredhello wrote:From the OP:

About 850 out of the 1200 interviewed applicants get in. So, you have a 70% chance one you get a JS1.

considering holds have gone out, wouldn't this indicate that they are approaching their JS1 cap? Can they really have done 1000+ interviews already?sinfiery wrote:
