I have to say, the acceptance packet is pretty impressive.

oy. it was sent to my permanent home home address so I won't be seeing it for another month or so my parents COULD mail it to me but I'm paranoid about losing it in the mail (haha im being ridiculous i know)

so has anyone who received the hold email seen any movement?

I just want a status checker it's been a month. Is this normal? I emailed them and got nothing back.

I submitted right before the holidays and it's been a month now too. I'm not too worried, they're bound to be busier in Dec/Jan than before that...

I am really attempting to wait patiently but it is very hard...submitted 12/14, got the email 12/17.

I just want a status checker!

the million dollar question! i'm the most indecisive person ever and haven't done too too much research just yet, but I'm pretty torn between UMich and Cornell right now (the upside to Cornell is that it's within 2 hours driving distance to home, whereas UMich is a ways away).

I'm trying this new thing called patience, it's not working out too well though...

I'm going to be in Miami and Puerto Rico for 11 days starting Friday for a bachelors party/wedding, I'm the best man and I told the groom I'd be focused on the wedding and wouldn't be on the comp checking my status on the computer. I don't think I can last that long without checking for updates. Is it even physically possible to not check your status everyday?

soo i got a hold email and my status has been complete for a few months but i asked them to wait for my december lsat...since that score was released about two weeks ago, my 'last updated' has changed EVERY SINGLE DAY but my status has stayed at complete!! does anyone know what this means??? i am so worried i love you michigan!!!

The date changes automatically every day they are open.

I applied 11/12 and have a 172/3.88 with your same result. Did you do a " Why Michigan" essay? I haven't ( though probably will ) and think they are holding it against me.

Is it true that once you're awarded a merit aid, there is no negotiating after that? Even with a Yale acceptance or Columbia full ride?

I actually did write a Why Mich essay, but it was pretty bland. I'm thinking they maybe could sense my lack of enthusiam since I didn't spend a whole heck of a long time on it.

In via the admitted students' site! I was able to log in last night, but I wanted to make sure I could still log in this morning to be sure it wasn't a glitch. I'll still feel better once my status updates to "decision" (it still says "complete") or I get the packet in the mail. I applied 11/18 and received a status checker 12/18. No hold email. Good luck to everyone still waiting! Michigan was definitely a reach for me, so getting this acceptance gives me hope that schools do really look beyond the numbers.

Thanks. Yes, I am happy about my options at the moment, but Michigan was one of my top choices and I thought I had a good shot given last years LSN results. Would have really liked to have that Dean's Scholarship option too.
