Okay, I guess my imagination is getting a little ridiculous. This process had made me crazy. The saddest thing is, I'm 99% positive I'm getting a ding, so I should PROBABLY just get on with my life already.

No and I'm still positive about the WHOLE thing, as in I think many people will be happy about their 12/1 acceptances soon, just don't think I will be one of them. but you're right, maybe we ought to be even more optimistic. Hey, we might all get in from the 12/1 bacthrobin600 wrote:SanBun wrote:Yeah, same here. Yeah, they're not waiting three days to press send on the rejection e-mail....snail mail just takes a while for our acceptances! Here's to 12/01!SanBun wrote:No and I'm still positive about the WHOLE thing, as in I think many people will be happy about their 12/1 acceptances soon, just don't think I will be one of them. but you're right, maybe we ought to be even more optimistic. I'm just posting to remind myself that I'm not going to get in and I need to stop deluding myself.
However, since I was worth an interview (therefore not auto-reject) I will say I'm likely to get a WL. If the stats posted a couple weeks ago are correct, then more than 90% of interviewees get accepted or waitlisted.

I'm highly disappointed. Nobody has posted in almost 30 minutes! GULC does not approve of us 12/1ers and our lack of posting...

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
You know, it's been a few days since the fateful DR 12/1. Shouldn't those living closest to DC be getting the physical mail (if they were acceptances) now? This delay is making me think that GULC is preparing to send out a batch of emails in a few days, that's why no one has heard anything yet. And those emails will not bear happy news.

does everyone think that decisions rendered 12/1 are good news?
would they really send out rejections 12/1 to RD applicants?

well if they send it out tomorrow for those that are rejected, then that makes sense- send it on a friday so ppl have time to calm down over the weekend and won't call immediatelyautumn80 wrote:You know, it's been a few days since the fateful DR 12/1. but I'm sure there will also be acceptances so who knows whether any of us will receive the dreaded e-mail

EDIT: and yes, I think GULC is the type of school who would potentially send out a number of denials early on to clear their applications, especially since they receive the most out of any school

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
I think it took longer than two days for the people close to DC to get their mail this cycle...I hope. Maybe their goal is to get us all worked up so that we feel like Georgetown is the ONLY place in town.....then when we get the acceptance we are so relieved we immediately withdraw applications everywhere else out of sheer gratefulness.autumn80 wrote:You know, it's been a few days since the fateful DR 12/1. do we at least have a thread consensus that those that got DR 11/30 or 12/01 are 50/50 accept or rejected?
