I applied in early November, too, but I have been UR2 since early January. Naturally, that means no scholarship interview requests yet for me.

Nope, not admitted yet. I'm a splitter so that could be it, or maybe this scholarship is considered later in the game. I honestly don't know, just speculating based on the fact that there have already been dings.speedofthought wrote:Have you both already been admitted?anrf1225 wrote:I'm waiting to hear back about the Jacobson scholarship toodg1090 wrote:Glad you asked. If NYU loved us they would send out a valentines card with acceptances to everyone.TexasENG wrote:Hoping there's a big valentine's wave for y'all

It's really brutal with how they only let you know about WL towards the end of April...

Re: NYU c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
It's torture. But I kind of get it, by not WL'ing you until April they basically have the chance to accept you at any point through that period, just in case something happens.TexasENG wrote:I don't understand the reasoning for doing WL that late? Aren't most (all?) people committed to somewhere at that point? Like all schools have their first deposit somewhere in April.Thelaw23 wrote:Keilz wrote: I think my file must be collecting dust in the back of a filing cabinet somewhere

For example Cornell WL a bunch of people and the only reason I can see for them to start taking people off the WL in February is that they realized they messed up or WL too many.
