Just a heads up: interviewed the second week of February and, per the status checker, scholarship decision sent 3/1.

So that's a pretty quick turnaround.

Also, feel free to PM for stats and dollar figures once they come in.

Had my scholarship interview today, why duke, why law, resume questions, financial need. Very conversational and laid back.

I'm about to send in my first LOCI after being put on priority reserve. I'm a bit confused as how to go about it exactly.. I read somewhere that in the letter you should give any updates on anything new you could add to your application since the original submission. If I have nothing new to update them on, considering I just applied a couple months ago, is it still worthwhile to write a LOCI?

Just got WL. Seems like applying late and not being on PT early screws you for Duke. LSAT = 50th GPA> 75th. Might ride it out since Duke is one of my top 3 choices

you got your decision on a Saturday? and ugh this would also be bad news for me, but I'm gonna be optimistic.

Yeah. I've seen people get decisions on Sundays so it's not too crazy. Idk I just feel like a lot their slots are filled from PT and their class size is only 200 so not that many slots to fill. I submitted after Dec retake so I didn't have much of a choice.

same here. I surprisingly got a WL at Georgetown and put in a 'special category' within their preferred WL because they couldn't risk overenrolling students. I applied early Feb so I fear the same fate at Duke

In via e-mail yesterday. Duke is currently my top choice (still waiting on a few). Very excited. However, I'm not seeing fin aid interview slots available until April 14th. Seems odd. Will be tough to evaluate Duke alongside others given April deposit deadlines.

Id keep an eye on it. Around the end of February, they released more time slots for March so people were able to move their time slots to earlier!

JD/MPP applicant here. I was waitlisted a few weeks ago after applying back in September. I got nervous from not hearing anything and sent a LOCI about a week before the waitlist notification. However, I was just accepted to the Duke Sanford Public Policy School. Is this news worth sending another letter to Duke Law so that they know im serious about this joint JD/MPP degree? Or is this irrelevant news

Interviewed today. Dean Hoye said they're currently 1 week behind schedule so offers will be out in 2 weeks.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
