oh, great.

anyway, i'm sure we're all reading into this stuff a bit (read: waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy) too much. we're assuming rhyme and reason, which is questionable to begin with, and we're basing that assumption on a limited and imperfect sample.

i truly hope adcomms lol their asses off at this stuff.

now, back to my tea leaves!

Sorry folks :( They're rejecting some candidates with serious numbers pretty early and it's hard to make sense of.

I don't know how much more pressure I can handle! I think blacking out for the next 3 months of my life might prevent my life expectancy from shrinking considerably

And my condolences for the dings, so early on in the cycle (especially to those with great numbers)

I completely agree. I actually looked up if you could be put into an induced coma because you aren't feeling the next few months. Apparently, you can't.

It is interesting though. Taking a look at the spreadsheet and at the LSN reports, its clear that most of the acceptances that have gone out so far are above median LSAT (175 on spreadsheet, probably same on LSN). Rejections are mostly below 25th LSAT. The middle is mostly unaccounted for though (not much in the way of 172-174).

On the spreadsheet tab "more analytics" what does "LG" and "L" or "G" stand for?

I think they're just secret codes that lawschool22 used to calculate the stuff on the side ... maybe
...I was not necessarily the right person for this job

It is an indicator of whether the applicant is above median LSAT or GPA
LG = above both medians
L = above LSAT median only
G = above GPA median only

ETA: Xylocarp is correct that the codes are used to calculate the tables on the side. The tables sum up the number of applicants who have received JS1 or JS2 and who fit into each of the 4 categories (LG, L, G, or none)

There is some good info on that page, it's a nicely made spreadsheet. It would be more useful if it also included the sample size for each category in addition to the percentages. As it is it is pretty difficult to immediately know if the percentages are indicative of anything or if they are just noisy from small sample sizes.

Xylo - could I add some additional tables to this page with sample size? I'm pretty good at spreadsheeting, so I don't think that I'll mess anything up (esp. since I'll just be adding, not editing things that are already there), but I don't want to be that butthole who edits without permission and messes it up for everyone.

Maybe they take a day to make the actual decisions, and Monday they'll roll them out again?

I have to think there will be a JS1 wave today or tomorrow, since there are slots for next week.

There are only 106 people in the FB group so they still have a lot of JS2s to go

I do agree that there are a lot of JS2s to go, but since you have to request to join the group, this is probably not indicative of how many JS2s they have given out. I suspect lots of people are holding off until they make their decision.

Huge congrats to all the JS2s this week! Y'all are awesome. Really sorry to hear about the dings though. Holding out hope for the non-stratospheric LSAT wave to come through one of these days...

There are a ton of interview slots up. Looks like a big JS1 wave is coming soon. That doesn't necessarily bode well for JS2 hopefuls...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
