I think holds are only for people who have heard literally nothing (ie no JS1s). Not sure what that means for people with a JS1 but no JS2 (a group that includes me now).

It's possible to be held after a JS1. But yeah, it looks like the first people who went KB1-->held last year were in the second wave of holds about two weeks after the first.

It's possible to be held after a JS1. But yeah, it looks like the first people who went KB1-->held last year were in the second wave of holds about two weeks after the first.

My hope is that they were implicitly holding you to this point -- when they've seen the December LSATs and interviewed another big batch of people -- and now they're ready to accept you in the next wave of JS2s

Thanks, that would be nice, but I'm not counting on it. I know TLS isn't representative, but I've seen a lot of strong candidates emerge after the December LSAT, and that should be enough to keep Harvard busy for a while before they would need to reconsider me.

Of course, I wouldn't object to a JS2 sometime soon anytime they want.

Seems like they're going to do the same thing with the first holds / dings that they did with the first JS1s and JS2s: very little activity one day, followed by a large wave of activity soon afterward. I expect the real floodgates will open on Monday.

heck, i went complete 12/18ish and am expecting a ding on Monday. I would rather get this over with so I can focus on getting $ out of my top choices and preparing for the rest of my life

I wonder if they're sending out emails alphabetically. To the other early applicants who are still in limbo -- are your last names towards the end / in the second half of the alphabet too?

Well, I'm not really early, but people with my dates have already gotten holds (but not rejections as far as I can tell), and I am late in the alphabet.

I don't understand, though, it's so easy to set up an email mail merge and send them out all at once from an excel spreadsheet. Takes a few seconds, why not just do them all at once?

Did KB also attend Harvard Law School (or law school in general)? I know JS did for both undergrad and ls, but I cant find the information on KB. Thx

I'm pretty sure I remember KB saying that she did not, in fact, attend HLS. Not sure about law school in general

Thanks. I usually consider myself a pretty adept googler, but KB has almost no online footprint of her education at all! All I have learned (outside of admissions stuff) is that she participated in an outdoor swim race a few years ago.

Now back to interview prep...

EDIT: I am a good googler after all!! Found it, finally. She did go to law school, just not at Harvard. Beautiful.
