Finished up my school visits this weekend and I'm now 99% sure I'll be at W&L next year!

It's hard to get to. Unless you live in Virginia within a couple hours driving it's going to be hard regardless of how you look at it. If you live out west...man, forget about it.

Lexington, where Washington and Lee is located, has no bus station, no train station and no airport. However, I heard rumors that Chinatown buses coming from NY and DC stop at a gas station on the outskirts of town, and you can hike in from there.

Apparently there is a shuttle you can grab from Roanoke airport. Normally it costs 75 bucks, but during ASW, it should be free. Can anyone confirm this?

It was free during the last ASW. When you register for ASW, they prompt you for your arrival time and if you will need transportation from the airport.

yeahhhh. the scholarship is nice and everyone there has been very responsive and helpful. but I really want a city and I want to sell my car (hate driving). Having no way to get to my bf doesn't help either. I can't withdraw quite yet... just in case. But soon, so I can help you guys out.

I applied 11/06...I was complete 1/15...I just called today, and I am one of the last few students being reviewed. Should I feel special?? Dean Twitty said "no news is good news" when it comes to W&L, so I hope that is the case!

So for those of you guys who are attending the ASW this weekend-- when are you getting into town? I will be there fairly early in the afternoon because I am checking out some places to live, but I definitely would like to meet up for dinner if there are people there before the coffee thing starts.

I received a message at school stating I have a priority package to pick up from UPS. Do they send rejection letters via UPS?

in priority packages? very doubtful. but the acceptance package was quite small as well (and I think mine was USPS). must be a present.

I'm scheduled to attend and I will be there barring an acceptance from unc. I'll probably arrive mid afternoon and would be in for meeting some people for dinner and drinks.
