Been looking at some of the top accounts on LSN, some people dropped some serious cash on applications, I did 10 and thought that was a lot.

I applied to 21 schools. All by the grace of fee waivers.

I only applied to schools with fee waivers as well, but even at 30$ each it adds up

Pretty sure I've had the single longest wait time for WUSTL of anyone I've seen thus far (who eventually got accepted, that is). My Duke PT acceptance kept the paranoia at bay for a while, but it's been over a month now and I'm back to thinking there's something horrifying in my applications.

Yep... Also I just got followed by a random law school on twitter, which is kinda freaky since my twitter isn't directly related to my name so they must have spent more than just a couple of minutes of cyber stalking to find me.

Oh it was definitely painfully expensive. I saved up for 6 months for it though, that's the only reason it was manageable.

Is this new set of data still as whacked as the last one?

So based on the comparison between the % changes for each score and those for each score band, it looks like this set of % changes was calculated as (Current#-Previous#)/Previous# ... which is correct.

But idk how to explain results like the # of 180s dropping from 22 to 15

eta: but Mr. Spivey has said before:

Every year there are a few weird percentage results, and every years LSAC has an explanation for them fyi (different dates compared, different metric, etc). So *likely* they aren't as weird as they seem

There are a number of other drops: 169 (507 to 323!), 171, 174, 176

Will be interested to see if an explanation is offered.

I was thinking - Maybe it refers to the number of *active* applicants? By active I mean applicants who still have apps pending at one or more schools. So if the people with 180s got accepted to a school, comitted to that school, and withdrew the rest of their apps, then maybe theyre not being counted among the applicants anymore? Same would apply for anyone who got accepted ED, for example.

Just a theory though. I've already bothered Spivey and Co. with a different question about the data, but someone else can ask whatsup if they're interested...

are you a reapplicant? If so, email them. I did and they sent an email back asking me when I can interview.

I googled this forum a couple of weeks ago, and when I typed in "top law schools" I saw that Regent has paid to have themselves be the first thing that pops up.

I actually have a friend who just put down a seat deposit there. I feel kind of bad for her, but I guess that's what happens when you don't do any research.

I tried to gently explain that I know she's very smart, she did well in school and has a good LSAT score, and she should at least look into her state school (which is pretty well regarded). Then I gave her a link to this board. Guess it didn't work. She got a full ride there, so at least she won't be taking out huge loans I guess?

I think a lot of people just think that if they get a full ride somewhere, then who cares since they aren't paying for it? I mean, I would have never considered an unranked school, but I was pretty strongly considering the school where I went to undergrad (ranked ~60) before I found this board. There's a lot of misleading information out there.

I met a guy who was retaking because he got rejected from Widener. I was tempted to say something but figured he knew what he was doing (e.g. perhaps his parents own a firm and he just needs a degree).

My best friend is in that situation. I'm so jealous. He got a full ride to where we went to undergrad and didn't even have to study very hard for the LSAT, lol.

This particular friend doesn't have any lawyers in her family that I know of, though.

My point is, if they got into duke, they are almost a lock of getting into WashU.
