Got in last night guys! Can't believe it. I was asleep because I was sick, but I woke up to the acceptance.

You're right! And thanks! My wife woke up to check on one of the kids and checked her phone before going to sleep again. She then woke me up with some very excited shaking/minor spousal abuse.koalacity wrote:I believe that person is rendlelaw on TLS, though I'm not positive. I tried to post my 250 and personal statement here with spoiler tags, but can't figure it out. Feel free to PM for those or anything else (Post-College Activities, etc.). Or, just tell me how to do spoilers and I'll put 'em on here.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting. I'm not sure if having a board like TLS to refresh constantly has made this more or less agonizing, but I know that misery loves company. Let me know if there's anything I can do for ya.

Depends what you think of hume's problem of induction, and also, what you think of fortune telling.
Nate silver couldn't tell you how one cycles admits/dings would cluster over a single week by comparing to another cycle. Miss Cleo on the other hand... Well, eets een da cards

Re: Yale c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
Yale is transparent enough about the process that we know exactly where the points of impenetrable opacity are:
Professors' schedules
Given professors' general rate of completion of this task
Who has what professors evaluating them, to plug in fuzzy data from the above
So while I'm refreshing this page for the same neurotic reasons as anyone, I would be unreasonably foolhardy to hazard predictions at this point beyond "there are not that many spaces left for the ~35 of us plus whoevers not on tls or lurking"

And rendlelaw, I'm glad to have this validation of my TLS stalking skills. I might not be successful enough at life to get into Yale, but at least I'm good at matching LSN profiles to TLS users.

So what are we thinking? A trickle of admits each day, then all the denies and WLs on Thurs/Friday?
Any guesses on how many acceptances are left? <10?

Definitely more than 10, especially if you count people who will get in off the WL. The final size of a previous class year's FB group is around 260, and yls 2017 is at 224 now. It's also probably safe to assume that some people leave the FB group once they either defer or decide to go to another school.nutellahero wrote:
