I'm an international applicant, and Georgetown couldn't find any alumni in my area, so they arranged a Skype one.intlsplitr wrote:Alumni interview invite via email. It will be interesting to see if there are any alumni in my area.
Have any other international applicants done an in-person alumni interview?

Hey is the "country of citizenship" section in your status checker filled out? I'm an international applicant too. I can't quite remember whether it was there from the start, and am getting a little too blindly optimistic now that I notice it's there.enjoyddyy wrote:I'm an international applicant, and Georgetown couldn't find any alumni in my area, so they arranged a Skype one.intlsplitr wrote:Alumni interview invite via email. It's not filled out on my status checker.99redballoons wrote:Hey is the "country of citizenship" section in your status checker filled out? I'm an international applicant too. Also waiting. No status updates/confirmation of receipt... :\ana.pal wrote:Did anyone else hear from Global Law Scholars?

Yessss, congrats to you! How much do you think GLS should weigh in deciding between GULC and other higher ranked schools?
Thanks for letting me know! I'm not sure if the filled out "country of citizenship" is as significant for internationals as it is for Americans. I'll keep you updated if I do get something in the mail.intlsplitr wrote:It's not filled out on my status checker.99redballoons wrote:Hey is the "country of citizenship" section in your status checker filled out? I don't think anyone with 170+ or 3.5+ is borderline for Georgetown considering no one with those stats on LSN is rejected, only a handful WL'd. I think it's more about gauging our interest in the school.chadbrochill wrote:For those who got alumni interview invite yesterday.
I did some reading up and I think the group interview seems to be more about YP while the alumni interview is more for borderline candidates.
This got me abit worried about my app in general since my cycle has been pretty bad thus far. But I think after looking at everyone's stats we all seem to be splitters with ~3.5 GPA's and 170+ LSAT's.
Interested in other's thoughts on this. Would it be reasonable to infer we are borderline primarily because of our splitter status?

I wonder if you get PILS if that 1/3 scholarship is on top or or instead of other merit awards? I am guessing you would not get both, but that is just a hunch.Rory19 wrote:+1Bfalcon wrote:Anyone know about timelines for PILS?
I figured it was more of a YP-type situation, especially because earlier ITT it sounded like many of the alumni interviews served for the alumni to try to convince the interviewee to go to GLUC. I could definitely be wrong though.fallingup wrote:I don't think anyone with 170+ or 3.5+ is borderline for Georgetown considering no one with those stats on LSN is rejected, only a handful WL'd. I had one on 3/1 and 3/4, both obviously after my interview which was in mid-Feb.jone7007 wrote:When was your last complete date?topped2013 wrote:I just received my acceptance letter (very unexpected tbh) today.
