I will definitely be bringing my skates, at least....all those free outdoor rinks in the public parks are like some sort of fairy tale to me!

Beware though, I have never ice skated in my life and I'm not very athletic. I have played roller hockey a couple times. Does that count for anything?

Ice skating is easier than rollerblading once you learn how.

Haha, they told me this as well. I was an awesome rollerblader, but ice skating, haha, well lets just say noooot so awesome. I'm definitiitely planning on getting good though!

Interestingly, skiing is very similar to ice skating. The people I've known who learned the fastest have all been decent-to-expert skiiers. (I was a skiier when I learned, although I have since switched to snowboarding.)

An NU Law pickup hockey group would be epic. I wonder if there are enough people.

Okay cool. Also, I'm pretty good at hockey on the xbox so I'm sure those skills will translate. If I can make Toews deke a couple of defenders and wrist one past Luongo, surely I can do something.

Why hello, there!

In exciting news for today, I am getting off work at 3 to go with my friends and their (freaking adorable) 3yo to a Catholic church that has a big grotto that they decorate up with lights and turn into a Christmas festival all December. Choirs, carolers, petting zoo, puppet show, cocoa and snacks, etc. All that's missing is an outdoor skating rink, but that's not very likely in Portland.

Agreed. I stole someone's speakers at work so I can play Christmas music all day. Makes an awful job much better. Plus Christmas is pretty much the only time I like New York.

Yeah, I wonder if there will be more ED acceptances. I think all the slam dunks ITT have already received their ED acceptance. So, either it's coincidence that they got them on the same day or they will be dipping further into splitter territory for ED or they're done giving out ED acceptances. Hmmmmmm........

Yeah... I was wondering the same thing... It just seems odd for them to come so soon if they're completely done with ED acceptances. I think the ED auto admits are in... Now, they're trying to figure out what to do with the rest of us

Same here. The best outcome I'm hoping for is a hold then quick acceptance since I applied ED. I wish there was a binding ED without a scholarship we could be rolled into so that we could still get a small boost.

non-URM. or any M, for that matter. my 4 years of work experience have all been in china though, so i think that made my PS/interview a little more interesting?
