I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but do people always go in review the day they get a DF?

No. I went DF on 3/7 and my last IR date was 3/2.

I just think it's hilarious how USC blatantly grouped together all the URMs. I mean I'm sure a lot of schools do it, as I've stated before but this is just funny.

One would hope they didn't assign all the splitters to Auto-W/L... But it does look like they've been holding off on decisions for the splitter apps in anticipation of...some kind of grand strategy. The LSN chart is kind of ridiculous in its clarity.

Regardless of whether you're a splitter, if you are still waiting for a decision, the odds of being waitlisted increase with each passing round of decisions. I'm hoping that there's at least one or two rounds of decisions (and that I can get admitted one of those rounds!) before everyone else is just flat-out WL'ed or dinged, but who knows.

Without revealing the stark detail, what day was the last decision round last year? Late March? Early April? I'd check myself but I can't bear to look at it.

Given that USC doesn't appear to be doing any obvious YP, there's a possibility that they've been waiting to see how many of the strongest applicants actually commit before dipping into the splitter pool. Going just from the LSN data, there are no 'Attending' among the accepts and bit less than 20 'Withdraws,' but who knows how much of the class has actually filled up by this point.

Last year it looks like the last big DR batch was at the end of April, with a mix of Accepts and Rejects and a few WLs. But in previous years it looks like most decisions made in April/May were Rejects or WLs.

Long story short: I think that it's pretty tough to predict what our chances are at this point based just on historical data.

Nobody has accepted because the scholarships haven't gone out yet (or if they did, only recently).

Yikes. Sorry to hear that. If it makes you feel any better, you can have some of the candy I was going to give to USC.

I'm one of the many lingering November applicants that has never gone IR. I would love to be accepted, and would certainly attend (not at sticker), but at this point would prefer just to be waitlisted or rejected asap, if it's what's looming in the future.
