I'm a current Columbia 1L who peeked into this thread to reminisce about getting her own acceptance package one year ago this past Saturday. Congrats to all of your new admits! FYI, I was a 3.6 with a 165/174 split, so people with low GPA's or multiple LSATs - you have hope! Columbia is absolutely amazing, full of super-friendly people, amazing professors and incredible opportunities.
I chose Columbia over the likes of NYU and Chicago after several long months of deliberation, so for those of you facing similar prospects, feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the school.
2L at CLS here, thoroughly enjoying myself for the past year and a half. The admissions office at CLS has also organized a few 2L/3Ls this year w/ our profiles and contact info up on the admitted students webpage so you can match your interests/experience etc. If you have any questions, feel absolutely free to spam our mailboxes, that's what we're here for. (but of course, my TLS message box will always feel more authentic to me =D)
Congrats to those who got in already, and good luck w/ the waiting anxiety to everyone else (it only gets worse

Although geography begs to differ, surely somebody in California must have gotten an acceptance today...right? Please?

Re: Columbia 2010
I just called to see if they ever received my mf-ing certification form and printed application fee waiver, and they wouldn't even answer THAT over the phone. (Told me I had to email...which I did, a week ago.) So good luck!

Re: Columbia 2010
I don't think I'm spoiling anything, but I REALLY doubt I'm going to have mail when I get back (in New England). Because of those numbers of mine.
Exciting news for lots of people today, though. Congrats!

Re: Columbia 2010
btw guys, i was prompted for my grades two fridays ago and they definitely made the decision on my e-mail to them and not my official transcript being mailed because my school takes a week to process the transcript...

But you just ruined everyone's day in Cali...we're either going to be frantically searching our mailboxes or feeling down for the lack of word from Columbia....
PS. I sent them an e-mail asking whether a decision has been sent, I'll update if/when they respond!
PPS. I just received an e-mail back from Columbia saying that a decision has not been made and that given my completion date i shouldn't hear back till the end of February. My completion date was 12/2

Re: Columbia 2010
wtf, you get an email back right away on that and I've been waiting a week for a response on my damn certification form?! Sorry, I'm very bitter about this (as you can tell).TheWire wrote:congrats to you!GargamelITT wrote:Innnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!
