maybe HLS classes are meeting but as far as i know everyone else is closed...I wouldn't hold out too much hope

From what I've seen on this board so far, JS1's seem to have been less of waves this year and more so trickling in randomly-- anyone else think is the case as well?

Also the JS1s were definitely waves in the beginning, but turned into trickles in mid-January. We might have to join the JS2 prayers, because at this point H may need to have another JS2 wave before they can return to real waves for JS1.

Same here. I feel that way mainly because I do not want to live in Virginia AT ALL. Also, RTK is more than a scholarship--it's being part of a public interest community. A Dillard is awesome (who doesn't want free tuition?) but it doesn't have the same appeal as RTK.

Me.

I've seen a thousand people urge against it, but I'd almost certainly pick HLS over Columbia/NYU. People spend money on dumber things and it'd make me so proud to have HLS on my resume. Take that for what you folk will. Not every decision need necessarily boil down to finances.

As with almost every other of canafsa's views, I'm in the exact opposite camp I'd take the RTK in a heartbeat, barring the sudden death of a long-lost rich family member. At a certain point you're just choosing between buying an Audi or a Maybach. They'll both get you to the same place though.

I would 100% pick RTK (or in my case, AnBryce) over HLS. Probably would pick Dillard too, just because I'm debt averse, but I'm less sure about that one.

Reasoning?

I plan to work in PI, currently live in NYC and would like to stay in the area (if it were hypothetically a Vandy and not RTK I'd still take NYU). I will also be paying sticker at HLS in the event I get a JS2, so I'm already seriously considering CLS/NYU over it, depending on merit aid.

I realize a lot of that is personal so it may not be helpful to you, sorry heh :p
