That's what I'm wondering. My other option is to go to my state university and pay outrageously low in-state tuition. I feel like that argument should be at least somewhat compelling... regardless of prestige, it's still a huge $ difference.

Just got Waitlisted. Lol they were "impressed with my credentials as well."

IT also said that they're over-committed with current admits.

Nvm, I just got the waitlist email. I'm quite surprised it wasn't a straight out ding.

ETA: Yes, the letter does say that they're overcommitted with offers of admission.

Waitlisted. How is it remotely fair that people who applied in early October were not looked at until March, when there were no spots left. How can the school even pretend at this point to have considered things other than numbers and to have given a fair chance to all students?

Whatever. A huge amount of their admits are going to matriculate at higher ranked ranked schools - I fully anticipate them taking a lot of applicants off the WL.

Whoops spoke too soon, just got my WL email. Considering people with better numbers than me got dinged, I'll take it.

I do love how they sneak the "we are impressed with your credentials" at the end of the paragraph, like they forgot to write it and added it hastily lol

Lol yeah. Michigan by and far has the best WL email I've gotten so far.

So I'm super confused with WashU's process right now... they waitlisted a bunch of 165 LSATs and dinged a bunch of 167s.... that just seems to go against the usual WashU plan of taking the high LSAT scores....

Waitlisted with what were very solid stats for WUSTL last year. Withdrawing as I cannot attend WUSTL without scholarship $$. Hope this helps someone else.
